How'd this thing wind up at my shop?

No rollbars, no numbers or lettering, all the seats and fancy wheels to boot!

A reminder to some of us old geezers and news to the "young'uns" that "Stock Car" used to at least pay lip service to the name. Even when the factorys were turning out some pretty exotic heavy metal they would have to offer at least 500 of the street version for sale to the public through their regular dealer network.

I was going through some pics and ran across some images from a shoot I did with one of the high dollar diecasts and wanted to share some of them. One of the prettiest Mercurys ever built, in my humble Wood Bros biased opinion.

Mercury Cyclone! Lord would I love to have one of those now. Heck, even the Comet would be good too. Great pics Mitch.
 
Thanks everybody. I had to shoot something different because everybody could tell the race cars weren't real just because they had seen so many.;)

I'm not a history buff. But does that license plate say "69 CALE", as in Cale Yarborough?
 
Reminds me of my 1969 Ford Fairlane. Man oh Man, I sure do miss that car!!

Thanks ya'll but it's a diecast so I can't take credit for the modeling, just the photography. Well, I did build the shop and grounds pretty much from scratch so thanks after all. LOL

And the tag does read 69 CALE and the tag on her sister (well, I couldn't break up a family, could I ?) reads 69 DAN.
