Just bounced mine down the 3 steps on my deck. Worst injury is the bruise on my wrist. Sitting on an icepack to try to minimize the pain in the a$$.
Dogs were standing there wondering what mom was doing. LOL

Ouch"...It's good that your ok. I missed the top step when I was getting out of the truck one time and fell about 4' and landed on my azz. I had a bruise for about a month.

Stiff and slow. The sorest spot is the muscle in my right arm --- go figure.
The wrist is fine, so is the rear-end --- guess the ice helped.

Put non-skid tape on the steps yesterday. Got more to fix the rest of the steps today.

I'm glad that your just sore. The important thing is that you didn't hurt your Back.

Sorry to hear about your spill. I have one of those about once a month on my job. Slipped and fell on my butt just today. All I worry about is the mud or grass stains but I have injured myself more than a few time. But that extra padding does help...at least we believe it does. :D

Our Lowes carries the non-skid tape you put on steps. All the stairs on the back deck are done. Bought more to do the front deck.
Note for all. From experience I know what makes stairs slick. Any surface that is painted will be slicker than a surface that isn't. Almost all brick or slate walks and steps are slick when wet. For those who get mail delivered to their front door, and who live in the north, might notice their carrier walking on anything but the sidewalk during and after a snowfall. There is a reason. Going up and down stairs, one should use a handrail if available, even if you've gone up and down a million times. The more times you've done it, the easier it is to slip. Going down you of course find the padding on the butt area, but doing up, you'll find the fat on your chin is much less. But if you trip going down, chins, shins, wrists and elbows can get some really bad scrapes. I can attest that sliding down stairs on your butt is the best of all worlds.

Just a little primer here from someone who knows. :D
