Well, since I have nothing keeping me here, I'm very seriously complementing moving to Miami. I don't know if I can take another winter up here.

You speak Spanish? Cubanese? You're going to need it.

I worked for a airline based in Miami after I got out of the service for a few years. Back then there was a specific area of Miami, the SW section, that was mostly spanish speaking. 2 buddies followed me down, one is still there.

He now speaks spanish, albeit with a Yankee accent, more often then he does English. Really.

Each time I visit him, last time was 3-4 years ago, I'm simply amazed at much things have changed. You better be bilingual.

Personally I'm looking at Stanley, N.C. and Summerville S.C., we have relatives there. Stanley has my vote, right outside Charlotte.:D

At least he would have something tangible to gripe about instead of the weather all the time.

Knowing Andy he would gripe about the view at South Beach...

Oh, and SST you better check with Immigration. I think we've already taken our limit of Yankees this year. Good luck next year. The line forms early.

I know I can't wait until we have another Yankee down here telling us how they used to do it up North and why that is a much better way. While they gripe about everything here in the South.

Not to mention, you better like getting salt-blasted whenever a hurricane comes. Or, you could buy a handycam and play Jim Cantore for RFTW.

I thought so too but according to my friend there are slight differences in the dialect.

Of course there is a difference. Just like Puerto Rican is different in dialect.

But it is all rooted in the Spanish language. And a Cuban is said to speak Cuban, not Cubanese.

Guys, when I stopped to think about this, I have come to the conclusion that Andy is made for Miami. Of course, he'll have to change his allegiance with Jacksonville, but hey, he'll be a long way from the Skins. Someone, come up with a great sweatband design for him. :)

Guido, what's a nice Italian guy know about those Cubans?

There will be complants where ever you move. You can stay in Maryland and go on about the cold or go to Florida and complain about the humidity.

I can see him moving back after the first Hurricane :p

Andy, move to kansas. You can gripe about the cold, the heat, the sucky track(s) nearby, the tornadoes, the blizzards, and who knows what else...

I enjoy the heat.

Good to know. Cause you sure catch a lot of heat here.

For some reason the story about the traveller asking the man what the town ahead is like and he asks the traveller what the town he just left was like pops into my head.

I enjoy the heat.

Andy, ever hear "It's not the heat, it's the humidity."

Ever break out in a sweat toweling off after a shower?

Also I've seen several shows lately about the snake problem down there. Seems a lot of people have released their pet snakes in the Everglades when they got to big. Add in the hundreds that were freed when the pet shops they were in were destroyed in the hurricanes. These pythons have no natural enemies, some of the ones captured are in the 14 to 16 foot range.

Charlie, buddy on a woodworking, shot a 8 footer in his backyard. He lives just south of Orlando. After he posted pics a couple of other guys from So. Fla chimed in about their experiences.

I'm not afraid of snakes but I'd rather avoid them.

<scratching So Fla off my trip ticket for places to live>

Why? You afraid I might bring some sorely needed class to the NC area?

Why is it just about everytime I post you follow me making absurd comments? You're the master of the search look it up yourself.

I'm starting to feel like a little puppy is following me around. Hope you're house broke,,aw snap, just realized you're in NC and might need training.

Wasn't it just the other day you mentioned you might be relocating to Stanley? Now you want to dis me because of my memory.
As to bringing class trust me I don't have any fear in that regard.
