Did anyone here make it to the Legends Rematch. When I got there at 10:00 they were packing the track with one water truck. When we left, 5:30PM the track was still holding moisture. The question is, if they can keep moisture in a half mile track in the day time, why can't Laurens keep it after the sun goes down? Oh yeah and if you didn't go you missed one hell of a show.

84............describe the track? do you think it'll ever be used again? also...........who won the thing. Never saw it in the paper.thanks

Those are great pics.
How many cars did they run? The tracks I attend have well over 100 cars for any given event. By the end of the night, the track is pretty much all used up. I often said the did not put enough water on the tracks to begin with, or they wait until to late in the day to start watering the tracks down. They should start at 8am and let the water soak in. Then do another couple passes, let it soak and keep repeating until the start of events. I'm not talking about flooding the the place out. Just take the time to do right.

Nothing annoys me more than when they start putting water down after the heat races. By then the track is so hard, all the water does is run off and form puddles, oh and make it terribly slick to drive on.
