Speaking of horrible events

As I mentioned in the 9-11 thread, only one event was worse than 9-11. Last year, when I was driving back from the Inaugural ARCA New Jersey 150, I got a call. Something terrible happened. It's still impossible for me to put in to words as it seemed like it was only yesterday. So I'll let this collection of news footage do the talking:

For me, losing a friend and seeing another in excruciating pain for months. I didn't directly know anyone who died on 9-11. Happened on a weekend when I was supposed to have the time of my life. It was not a good time.

That's what I suspected, but it wasn't very clear in your original post. I just assumed you knew them somehow.
