This is all raw speculation.

Sprague retires. Delana and Kevin decide to hire Justin Allgeier, Matt Carter and Alli Owens.

RCR moves Wimmer to Cup, hires Cale Gale to Nationwide. KHI put Carter in trucks full-time, Allgeier and Owens in Nationwide part-time.

Oh yeah, expect Scott Speed in the #84 Toyota next year full-time.

Leffler goes to Cup for a Toyota team, DiCarlo goes to Nationwide for Braun.

No, this is not crazyspeak.

:)

Wild Card Drivers coming at you.

David Stremee. He turned some heads at Talladega.

Juan Pablo Montoya. I think if Gannassi releases him, and he probably will if JPM doesn't make the Chase, this is the big wild card at Childress. I've gotta admit, though, Harvick and Montoya as teammates? THAT could be entertaining at the race shop on Mondays. :XXROFL:

Dario Franchitti. Does Gannassi keep him? This could be where Stremee comes back into play.

Danica Patrick. WWJD = What Will Jack Do? David Ragan and JamieMac better do something this year.

none of the 4 you mentioned are going ANYWHERE.

Havoline LOVES JPM. Franchitti is a rookie, he probably hasn't seen half these tracks. And it's not like the 40 team really has their hats on straight. Patrick will be in IRL for at least 2 or 3 more years unless something big happens. I could see Stremme going to cup in a wallace car, with the lone exceptopn that ESPN's contract won't let runsty have a cup car.

And Rusty is thinking about selling and becoming a minority owner to remove that restriction and still allow him to be on TV (yippee...:(). So I wonder who steps up and buys in and what happens to Steven...

I dont think Gannassi is going to release JPM, its not the driver that isnt performing, its the team. That organization has not put a good program on the track in years, the last time anyone has really done anything special with that team was Marlin when he almost won the Cup. They hadnt done anything in a long time before then and havent done anything since then.

Montoya isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

You know what? Montoya silenced a lot of critics. They were questioning his skill, but now they're just pissed off that "the beaner" is running well.

I personally think it's funny. :D

Montoya gets 3 wins this year: Darlington or Daytona on TNT, One of the road courses, and Indy.

Big Red and Juicyfruit love Montoya. They sponsor his pool, his street car, his pool table, his patio furniture, his towels, his clocks, his bedsheets and everything else.

Those commercials are classic.

Yeah, it's all about the fact that he "ain't white so he ain't right".

I can't wait for him to win one...but the bigotry in the stands will be a real black eye. You think the "fans" are disgraceful for throwing trash onto the tracks when Gordon wins? Wait until JPM wins one. :(

I don't think that will happen. He won at Sonoma --- nobody rioted -- well, maybe Harvick did because he thought JPM couldn't make it on fuel. hehehe

You mean road course in the cozy hills of wine country in California?

A win in, say, Alabama or Tennessee will be the true litmus test. Heck, even NHIS.

It will be interesting to see how Mars(M&Ms) buying Wrigley works out. :D

That is pretty much a done deal partially financed by Warren Buffet.

When this deal goes through in six to twelve months, M&M/MARS purchase of WRIGLEY will make M&M/MARS the largest candy company in the world.

Sonoma's down in California, aka Mexican state.

If he wins at Darlington or Talladega, all hell breaks loose, ESPECIALLY if he doesn't pull over and give Junyer or Denny Hamlin the win.

There won't be rioting in the stands.

They will be booing, jeering and screaming at him while throwing their trash and garbage on him and the track.

I used the word "beaner" because that's what all my race-fan-friends call him.

Personally, I think it's great. That "beaner" is gonna win a lot of races, too. :beerbang:

JPM's good. If he can calm down with his full-contact driving style, he'll win a lot more races.
