Tomarrow I'll return to NHMS for the first time since 2010. I've got tickets at the second to last row of the turn 4 granstands for $50 bucks! When I went in 2010 the same seats were selling for $110! I'll keep y'all posted tomarrow with updates. I'll be listening for others opinions on the RTA. I'm leaving at 6am, and am hoping to be at the track by 11 (thats with an hour and a half of traffic). Should be an awesome day with comfortable temps, low humidity, and plenty of clouds to keep cool. Wish me luck, and GO SMOKE!

Hope you have a blast, wish I could be there to see Mat win, but, you can.:D

Sorry I had trouble with the pics. What a great day! We got into the lot at 10. Hovered around the display area till 11. Walked the souvenier row on my way to the Laconia grandstands. Took the hike up to row 47. The seats were decent. Seeing the opposite side off the track was difficult. For 50 bucks they were worth it. Seeing Jimmy wreck on lap twelve was awesome... sorry 48 lovers. Its not that I don't like JJ, its just that he's 2 for 2 with Cup races I've been to. This seemed like a decent race. Stradgedy was a key. Good racing on restarts. That GWC was awesome! Sucked for Gordon :(. If anyone could've beaten Kes it was him. Not much double-file racing. Too many BS debris cautions. There was good racing back in the pack.

Estimated home time: 11pm
Race: 8/10
Atmosphere: 5/10

Home at last after some relatively heavy parking lot traffic kept us in the property an extra 45 minutes. Then a crawl to the highway, but we cut across NH to VT to avoid the bumper-to-bumper on I-93 that we've seen in years past. Very interesting walk back to the car. A group of a dozen or so had a little to much to drink . In the car on the crawl to the main road we were VERY pleased with some young ladies standing in a truckbed in front of us. They had dressed quite...ready for summer...to say the least and weren't afraid to show it :growl:. Gulped down some of the worst Wendy's food I've ever had for dinner. Didn't matter, it had been 16 hours since my last meal.

My right eardrum is still ringing from a close encounter I had in turn 4. NHMS lets you get VERY close to the track. You can walk right up to the catchfence when the cars aren't rolling. Even under green the ushers will let you get 3-4 feet from the track. So I think "Hmmmm... this restart I'll go down to the fence and watch the cars at full speed." DAMN! Those things are LOUD! I went to an indoor Monster Jam rally 5 years back, and I thought that was loud. The sound of 900hp engines whizzing by at 120mph is louder. Seriously, I could feel my eardrum moving. Even though I lost 10% of my hearing I gained 10% testosterone so that's a pretty good trade off, right?

I've been looking at the "Rate the Race" thread. It wasn't really THAT good of a race?
