Medical Condition Update On Kurt Busch" 5:10 P.M. Upon completion of his medical examination this afternoon, Kurt Busch issued the following regarding the extent of the injury he received from Jimmy Spencer.
"I have swelling on the left side of my face that is not expected to heal for three months. My breathing has been affected, and although it will not affect my ability to race, it will make breathing with helmet on more uncomfortable. I have been told that there is some tissue damage, and that there is a 15% chance that I will require reconstructive surgery to repair the damage. Sounds awful bad. Wonder how much, if any, of this is for possible court use? Jimmy should have at least got Kurt out of the car first before hitting him, but there are reports now that Kurt and Jimmy had some words when Jimmy came up and so it appears fists overruled brains. When this gets settled I wonder if Kurt is going to a little more thoughtful of what he says and when he says it.
 
Wow, either Jimmy packs a major wallop or he really beat the living sh%t out of him. I though about Tony when he punched that camera dude, just a little smack on the face. I guess it was a lot more than that. This will be very interesting story to read about in coming days.
 
Sounds like he's getting ready for any possible court case...it's a fancy way of saying his nose is swollen. I don't doubt that it's uncomfortable, but his pride is probably the only thing broken.
 
This little snippet failed to report that Kurt had surgery on that nose over the off season to repair a deviated septum. If there is more surgery to come, I wonder if there will be a civil suit against Jimmy.
 
I sure hope there is some kind of suit against chubbs. What he did was just plain low. Now had Kurt been out of the car so it may have been fair, then its just guys workin it out. But hitting somebody when they are straped into a seat.. Thats like kickin somebody in the crotch from behind. Verry un cool on chubbs part.
 
It was a sucker punch:popping the other guy when he has no chance to defend himself.Like a drunk bully in a redneck bar smacking you from behind with a poolstick.Mr.Excrement should be held accountable by more than just NASCAR.

But its ok for ELF BOY to talk SMACK behind Jimmys back! Like I said before, Jimmy has not said one bad word about ELF BOY and has been ignoring what he has said. He probably had all of this anger bottled up inside and this problem took the cake. The mouthy SOB DESERVED TO HAVE HIS FACE RE-ARRANGED!!!!!

I do think there is nothing wrong with talking smack on camera, which is hardly behind his back, he can review those tapes anytime he likes to, lord knows speed shows the race every day til the next one. This sport is entirely about getting your name out there, sponsors on tv etc etc.. Spencer saying that he never forgets is the same exact thing, he simply says it in fewer words. And besides talking is not illegal, premeditated assault is. This incident has made me loose ALL respect for jimmy and anybody whom supports his actions. I just cant have any love for heartless thugs.
 
BlueFusion, please step back. Take a deep breath. It completely baffles me that you can honestly think that what Jimmy Spencer did was in any shape, form or fashion right or appropriate. PLEASE!!!! You cannot walk up to someone's car window, haul off and knock the snot out of them and walk away without any reprocussions. No where on the face of this EARTH, will that ever happen. It does not matter who cannot keep their mouth shut and what anyone says behind your back or to your face. Laws were written to protect people. Nothing more or nothing less.

Do you remember what you were told as a youngster? I know I do.

I'm not condoning what Jimmy did but I do like him a lot better than Kurt. I hope nascar checked how much gas was left in Kurt's tank. If he parked there on purpose then he was baiting the wrong guy at the wrong time. Still wrong but understandable if Jimmy lost his temper IF that's what happened.
 
I welcome everyone's opinion on the subject but it's pretty damn stupid if some members are going to advocate the beating of a driver in their posts. Have some civility for crying out loud ! :cheers:
 
Kunt Bucsh got what he deserved. I'm not going to judge if Jimmy's action was right or wrong.

All I know is people who think they can talk trash, antagonize others, and bait them to retaliate, and then cry foul when retaliated upon, are nothin but low lifes.

This is the real world, that guy wouldn't be acting like that in east LA. He thinks he is safe to talk that way within the bright lights and crowds of Nascar, but lets see him talk that way to Jimmy's face in a dark alley.

I say you talk to people everywhere as if you were in a dark alley with them.

People like Kunt Bucsh who talk trash, and hide behind the law, or rules should be put out.
