Spencer Will Drive No.37 Car At Martinsville
It didn't take long for Jimmy Spencer to agree to drive the BoSPOKER.net Dodge in this Sunday's Subway 500. After all, team owner John Carter said all the right things. "When he asked me to drive the wheels off the car, that's all I needed to hear," Spencer said. "That's what I like to hear. Put me on a short track with a good car and orders to get after it, and I'm your man. It took me about two seconds to agree." Spencer, a two-time winner on the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series circuit, will drive for R&J Racing while Tony Raines continues his leave of absence. Raines has a commitment with Kevin Harvick's Busch Series team at Memphis, Tenn., this weekend, prompting R&J Racing to find a driver for the half-mile short track.
