Spin doctors at work

I've actually finished reading a book that I was reading all week during the race, I had the race on mute for about 30 minutes. It was that boring, that bad.

I left when there was 100 laps left and walked to McDonalds with my son.We got back just in time to watch the last 10 laps.

Keep telling yourselves that NASCAR. Most non-NASCAR fans I've talked to said they took a nap.
Hmmm, non-NASCAR fans? Didn't think that you cared much about those opinions. Also, seems that many here, who claim to be NASCAR fans also took a nap or wished that they had.

Just to note: I, as an avid NASCAR fan of over 40 years couldn't give a rat's butt what non-NASCAR fans think. For that matter, I've listen to faux-NASCAR fans pan the sport for the last 10 years and I couldn't care less what they think. If the sport I love goes south, so be it. I would actually love it more if there were less fans and those who only want to complain it took a hike.

Money has been the problem that has changed many people's mind about the sport and I do understand that, but if enough of those people took a hike, the sport would lose enough fan base that big money would also go south and it would once again be a sport of those owners who are racers, not in it for the money. But that would start the whole idea all over again and the same gripes would begin again.
