Competition caution will come out on lap 35.

Ralph Sheheen replaces Bill Weber in the TNT booth today. :)

The year I went to Vegas for the race, I was sitting next to Ralph --- he had some fantastic stories. Needless to say it made the long flight all too short.

Aside from being a complete twit in the booth anyway, that rediculous pink shirt he had on last weekend was, shall we say....rediculous.

A little more about the missing Weber

From The Daly Planet ---

This statement was issued by TNT early Sunday morning:

"Bill Weber will not be part of TNT's NASCAR coverage of the Cup Series from New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend,” said a company statement released by senior vice president Sal Petruzzi. “As this is a private issue, it’s the policy of the company not to discuss personal matters involving our employees.”

Update: Veteran Reporter Dustin Long saying the issue is personal and Weber has not been fired. (11AM)

Update #2: From That's Racin': According to witnesses, Weber got into a loud, public confrontation over the weekend at his hotel in Manchester, N.H. He was at the track on Friday.

Update #3: Reporter Shawn Courchesne of the Hartford Courant is calling this a one race suspension by TNT because of the incident mentioned above.

He gives the call on the AMA MX races and gave the call at the Chicagoland 200 last year. Much better than listening to Webermouth.

just tuned in...
Haven't missed a thing. It's a typical boring flat track no passing race.

Well now I know how to get a track to get two races. Build a big racetrack with no banking that puts on the worst most boring races in the world then NASCAR will close down Richmond and give me two dates.

The commercials are more entertaining than this boring ass race. :idunno:

This track is as exciting as Fontana and Texas. :sarcasm:
I don't see what's wrong.....

TNT's getting their bills paid and my pockets are filling up. And this is a great race today, from up here in the control room.

Sounds like a plan...I'll PM you about getting a signing bonus put in line...

I'd love to see Junyer or Smoke burn Keebler Elf and Gordo on the restart! :beerbang:

Wow! Unfortunately this is the first exciting thing to happen in a awhile (and I'm not one to watch a race for wrecks)...I was falling asleep.

It's sickening listening to Kyle Petty stumbling to defend him.

Driver I'd be keeping an eye on is Juan Pablo Montoya. He's gained 10 positions since the restart prior to the Menard wreck.

Did Kyle cause that?

King Kyle?? never....:sarcasm:

Yes, trying to go three wide on a restart will hardly work any where.

It's sickening listening to Kyle Petty stumbling to defend him.

Look at the aerial shot. Kyle was racing -- nothing wrong with that. Truex drove up to avoid Junyer and made contact with Shrub.

If we're going to assign blame, it would be Dale Junyer's fault. But I know we all have to blame Shrub because he was there.

Junyer over the radio (per RaceBuddy): "Guys, that was my fault."

But it's still gotta be Kyle's fault because he tried to pass a car on a restart. :sarcasm:

Kyle did not move up tell after they got going. If they stayed in line or if he waited tell the back stright it would of been ok. There is a time to race and a time to back out. And that was a time to take it easy and not push it. 20 laps to it night of been ok but not at this point.

Did you miss the part where they said there's rain in the area?

That's exactly what we need - everyone riding around single file until the race is called for rain.... race isn't boring enough :sarcasm:
