1936 Delahaye. 1 of 1 in existence. Two years in the process of a frame-off resto. Undercarriage, suspension and drivetrain complete, paint complete, interior 3/4 complete. I didn't have time to crawl over it. Whatever was under the hood was inline with what appeared to be 3 one barrel carbs. I wish now that I had taken more pictures but the owner and I knew some of the same people so I think I'll be able to get back in there and get some more pics. There were a lot of other old cars there getting upgraded suspension and drivetrain components. The Delahaye was valued at $2 mil.

Incidentally, I attend a non-sanctioned car meet every Sunday. There are cars there that you cannot believe. It's not a car show. Nobody gets a trophy. Sick men with racing oil for blood get together and drink coffee and talk about nuts, bolts, nitrous, leather, chrome, powdercoat, paint, compression ratios, etc. EVERY class of desirable vehicle is represented. Stocks, Classics, Restomods, Supercars...This past weekend there were so many cars that I was in awe. All I had was my iPhone camera. I'll take my Canon this coming Sunday. Last Sunday I saw a late 60's Lamborghini Miura S, I saw Ford GT's and real Ford GT40's, pretty much every recent model Ferrari and Lamborghini, even a hot rod blond in 6" stiletto heels driving a silver-grey Lambo with Batman stickers on the doors. There were 50's Buicks, mid to late 50's Chevys, 59 Elcos, Studebakers with big block Mopar motors, 4WD Datsun 240Zs, 46 Fords, New 700HP blown Dodge Challengers, Porsches, 340 Dusters, Turbo Cooper Minis, etc. So many cars I couldn't list them all. No trophies, no competition, no nothing. I have a few crappy cell pics from last Sunday.
This is Arnold Marks original '34 Lincoln land yacht. Arnie was a friend of my dad's when my dad was alive. Arnie owns a shop called Mustang's Etc. in Van Nuys. He sells original Mustang parts and Mustang restoration parts. My dad and I have owned about 20 different Mustang Fastbacks.
This '34 Lincoln is original, unrestored and has 36,000 original miles. Aluminum V12 Flathead

This is a brand new McClaren, doesn't even have plates yet...

REAL race proven 427 AC Cobra (I'd hate to even guess the value.)...

Powder pink 10 second turbo bug that a guy built for his girl...

I'll bring my camera next Sunday and get some real pictures.

I'm slobbering all over those pics, Bobby.
That old Lincoln is my kind of car.
It's really an amazing car. Completely original; interior, paint, motor. It's absolutely huge in person. It really drew a crowd. I had to wait almost an hour for the people to disperse, in order to get pics.
