Jack Sprague Named Driver of Kevin Harvick Inc.’s No. 2 Truck for 2008 Season
Kernersville, N.C. (November 2, 2007) – Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today that Jack Sprague has signed a multi-year agreement to drive the No. 2 Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Truck Series beginning in 2008. A primary sponsor has been secured and will be announced at a later date.

Sprague, a three-time NASCAR Truck Series champion, will begin a new chapter in his racing career as he joins two-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday at KHI in 2008.

“I am very happy about this opportunity that has come about at Kevin Harvick Inc.,” Sprague said. “I have known Kevin and DeLana for a long time. Kevin is a racer and he knows the importance of having good people around. The whole organization at KHI is very impressive and I look forward to having the opportunity of winning more championships.”

The Spring Lake, Michigan native tops the charts as the Series’ all-time money winner with more than $6 million in earnings over the course of his career. Sprague is second on the all-time pole and win lists with 32 poles and 28 wins to his name. Sprague also holds the Truck Series record for the most top-five and top-10 finishes.

“Jack Sprague brings years of racing experience to KHI and will be a great asset to Ron and the entire truck program,” said Kevin Harvick. “Ron Hornaday and Jack Sprague are what truck racing is all about,” Harvick continued.

“They are both hard-core racers. I know that they will both give everything they have until the checkered flag falls, and those are the kind of guys I want driving for me.”

Sprague, who is second in career wins behind his 2008 KHI teammate Ron Hornaday, is excited about this opportunity. “I have a lot of respect for Ron,” said Sprague. “We have been racing together for several years. I have thought before about how cool it would be for Ron and I to retire as teammates. I am really excited and look forward to running for another championship with my new teammate.”

Veteran driver and current Truck Series points leader Ron Hornaday is looking forward to having Sprague make the jump to Kevin Harvick Inc. in 2008. “Jack is a very intense driver and having him as a teammate is a big plus for the entire KHI family,” said Hornaday. “The truck program is strong now, but running two full time truck teams in 2008 and having the extra support will make it that much stronger.”
