Not sure how many are concerned about spyware and tracking cookies being placed on your machines. I'm not a fanatic about it but I'd rather not have the stuff on my computer.......things, like comet cursor, gator, double click, etc just irritate me a little. For a couple years I've been using both Ad-aware (it's version 6.0 now) and Spybot Search and Destroy. I scanned my computer at least every other day to delete the spy/ad ware that sites put there. I know you can set your browser to reject cookies and not have the problem in the first place...........but what pain that is for a site like this that requires cookies for log in, etc. Well about three months ago I found out about another program that you don't have to manually scan to eliminate spy ware. It's free, and it's darned good too. Since I've been using it, both Ad-aware and Spybot haven't found any spy ware on my computer. Just download and install...........configure it and that's it. It blocks the spy/ad ware cookies before they are placed on your machine. No scanning to it. And it's not a back ground program either..........no system degradation at all.
Anyone who scans using Spybot knows it can take up to 10 mins for a system scan and Ad-aware takes about 4 mins. Plus, in order to find all the spy/ad ware you need to run both because Spybot will leave a few that Ad-aware will pick up...........and vise versa. That's almost 15 mins and it's a little tiresome to do............which means many people will slack off and not scan for long periods of time. Here's the link:

And, as with all downloads, scan for viruses before you open it. You just never know.
