Has anyone noticed that some of the sites you go to put "spyware" on your computer? Seems I can do a scan with AdAware about every 10 to 20 mins while browsing the internet and get at least one......usually "Doubleclick". Early today I picked up 4 at one site. Can't tell you which site since I went to several. But, if you do news sites (ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc. but not FOX........strangly enough) you will find some spyware put on your computer by means of cookies. I can tell you that Ebay puts lots on!! I would recommend everyone to go to download.com or any download site and search for "AdAware". It's free. By the way, download.com puts "doubleclick" on your computer.

Thanks for the tip Wrangler.I am still fairly computer illiterate and had no idea what those were.I will download right away.
 
Ahhh, a little thing like that cant hurt ol betty(my PC). Shes been through a lot, but still holds strong. Im gonna miss her when she gets too old:(

Or just turn off cookies, and only accept cookies from those sites you trust.
 
A note I forgot at the beginning of this thread. This site and non of the links on it put spyware on your computer. Something everyone should thank Paul for........Thanks Paul.
