Austin City Limits is going to be showing a few SRV shows on Feb 8th.

I might have. I guess I just never saw what it was called. I have seen parts of some very cool concerts on PBS. Paul Simon, etc. But never knew if they were part of a show. Is that what they are?

Yeah, If you can remember...check out the "Widespread Panic" episode.

The SRV shows I have seen on ACL are phenomenal. Some of may favorite stuff he did in fact.

That's a damn good show that I don't think about often enough.

I wonder if all PBS stations carry the same feeds though. I've known of times when someone would tell me about a show that was airing, but we didn't get it, because we are in different markets. Sucks to tune in expecting to see a documentary on bluegrass music and instead see the mating habits of walrusses (walruses? walri? walrae?).

I think we here in Texas have Austin City Limits on a regular basis. But that doesn't take rocket science to figure out. It is filmed in Austin, Texas. We get regular doses of SRV, especially when the PBS station is trying to raise funds for future programming, and they usually cut into the best parts of the show to ask you to call in your pledge. Sometimes it gets irritating, but I understand that they mostly rely on public funding for the PBS shows that they air. I don't think I have seen an SRV Austin City Limit show that was bad.:)

I dubbed one of his sessions and put it on cassette. Love that one. I marked the schedule for our PBS channel (NC people, it's on the 9th, 16th and 23rd at midnight). For a while, they took the show off, but have since put it back on. Notice the great time slot.

As in SRV you mean Stevie ray Vaughn right? Cause if you are he is the greatest man ever to touch a gutair(sp) in my idea. I love his music and will be sure to watch the thing
