Kasey's in the Race for the Chase! Pretty darn good comeback from his early season troubles.

Pretty good comeback for J Gordon in the race today after running around 20th all day.

nice to see some different names in the top 12. Hendrick boys are picking up the game, but looks like equality is showing it's head.

The 5/25 shop has never been good. Is it now the 5/88 shop and the 24 and 48 are still together? Because that 25 car is doing pitiful, and even with Ky in it, it did bad, and with Terry in it, it didnt go bad, but not good either.

It would be interesting to look at multi-car teams and see if there is a similar pattern of 1 car not doing well. Mears got the 5 equipment (supposedly) and yet you're right, he can't do crap for the most part. Obviously it's not the driver, Kyle is having a banner year and even Vickers is running better than he did at Hendrick.
But before everyone runs off with some conspiracy theory, with the year Jeff is having he either forgot how to drive, Steve Retard forgot how to crew chief (that's my vote) or he's getting bad equipment. He finished 4th due to strategy not because he had a 4th place car.
Jimmie is showing consistency and I attribute much of that to Chad knowing what he is doing. Why? Put Jimmie behind the wheel of a car without Chad and he doesn't know how to drive out of a MickeyD's parking lot without hitting 3 cars.

If it hadn't of been for the "lucky dog" Jeffy might have finished 30th or worse. And yet the one time he started up front he ran with the faster cars, and was able to keep up.
Something about the cot that allows the car in front to run away from the field and the cars behind can't pass or keep up most of the time.
Is it all "driver daring"? Or is it the car itself? And how can a slight change make the passing easier?
