Surprising to see Kyle missing the race at Christian make it.

Great run by Schrader and the BAM racing team....

:( Looks like I'm going to have to get a new screenname soon, I'm thinking this probably just cost Steve his ride for sure. Too bad because all the RCR cars were junk in qualifying for some reason. I'm so disappointed
right now on Steve's end but on the end, one of my drivers gets the pole, one qualifies the King's car in 13th, and RYR looks to have gotten their plate program back together.

Petty going home isn't really all that surprising to me... but Steve Park? Big shocker! Pole at Daytona, going home at 'Dega..... I be damn!

The Daytona car got torn to pieces, this was the car Jeff Green ran in last years Daytona 500. But I agree with you, I'm still having a hard time believing it myself.

I'm glad to see Buckshot back in a chevrolet. Some surprises were David Green, Jason Jarrett, and Jason keller.

Both Jasons surprised me. Sadler REALLY surprised me. Buckshot not so much. Schrader....pleasant. Did not think he would be close let alone in the top ten. Jeff Green again in what is mostly considered one of the worst regular cars on the circuit.

And how about Ganassi Racing with Casey, Jamie, and Sterling? Those guys rocked.

Andretti and Fittipaldi? What are they doing in on time? And who'da thunk Larry Foyt on time?

As for the going homers.....no real surprises there except for Mike Bliss. Really thought they would bring a car that even Shawna coulda qualified. Steve seems to be a flash or crash while Kyle has been barely hanging all year.

Wonder what happened to the Roushketeers......

But yup, I can believe it. That's racin

Your experience, opinions, and mileage may vary :D

A friend of mine at another board did this line-up. ;)

Row 1: surprises

Row 2: should they really start next to each other?

Row 3: past champions

Row 4: youngin' and a veteran

Row 5: # 9 in the # 9 position = the 18 next to ya'

Row 6: there is some history with these two

Row 7: this week's grocery store row

Row 8: common names......the Martins' and the Jones'

Row 9: both need a good run

Row 10: hey......I want MY brother

Row 11: Owensboro, KY row

Row 12: 0's and 9's in those car #'s

Row 13: inexperience

Row 14: journeymen

Row 15: Chevy row

Row 16: "j" row

Row 17: "r" row

Row 18: first names ending in "y"

Row 19: championship contenders for years to come

Row 20: Roush row

Row 21: new Roush driver, former Roush driver

Row 22: thank goodness I made the race!

David Green isn't all that surprising. He qualified this car top 5 at the daytona 500 (i believe) but his time was disqualified for the same reason as jr in this race (too low).

Jason Keller has long been a top busch driver and he is in a DEI ride.

Jason Jarret surprising.

Hopefully Kenny gets a good finish out of the good start.

I cant beleave kenseth took a provisional  But you know what, he will most likely finish in the top 10.

Matt didn't choose to go to the back, his engine failed during HH
I know that, I just cant beleave he had to take one. And if his engine failed during HH, do you think it could happen again, I dont want it to though.

Seems like some teams got caught behind with the new rule changes ::cough::RCR::cough:: and some teams were really on the ball for it ::cough::Ganassi::cough::.

Matt had to take a provisional yesterday because his time stunk.

He has to go a bit further back tomorrow if they change the engine.
I thought he had a engine to fail in HH so he had to take a provisional..... I just hope he has a good race.

He may have had an engine fail in HH, but he was going to start 36th because he didn't go fast enough in q'ing yesterday.

If the engine is replaced, he'll start 43rd.

No problem. :)

Trying to understand the provisional system is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
:)

lol...I bet it is.

I was surprised at Harvick qualifying so deep back in the field at 30th I believe? Well, it's Talladega Superspeedway, you never know what to expect each lap so he'll be able to come up through the field pretty quick.

I think alot of the drivers in the front of the field will not last that long? I beleave alot of them will fall back and or cause a wreck and the drivers in the back make the moves toward the front. people like kenseth, harvick, jr (maybe).
