So I have played in differant Pools and Leagues for years now. My grandpa used to play in one way back in the day and until a few years ago never could figure it out until my uncle assisted me in how they used to do it.
I have been playing it now for 5 years with coworkers and family and we have had a blast. Of course had to change some things around for the Chase format and stages, but so far everyone has loved it..
I have a facebook group started for it, and will also have a website with stats and info, so you can join the facebook group or play through email.
I will post the rules and stuff, and at first it seems confusing to those who havent played a pool league or a league where you change around drivers alot, but honestly after you catch on, its very easy to play and a blast. It makes you research tracks and drivers. The league is free this year as I am bringing it online.
I pasted rules below and If you want to join you can join the FB group here : https://www.facebook.com/groups/1750033921697207/
Will also have the website up by next friday (December 8th) so you can play by email also.
The Rule are as follows:
NASCAR UNCENSORED 2018 RULES AND REGULTIONS.
Races are split into segments. Each segment will allow you to pick a certain amount of drivers. All Drivers will be chosen before Pole qualifying.
Exception:Clash @ Daytona is your choice of any 4 drivers. Points will be based on Finishing position.
Each segment is categorized into 4 races and allows you to pick 2 drivers. However you can only pick a driver once for each segment, except the championship race and the two “choose your fate” races in the middle of the season. The rules for each segment are as follows:
Segment 1 through 3 (Daytona to Kansas):
Segment 1 (Daytona, Atlanta, LV, PHX)
Segment 2 (Fontana, Martinsville, Texas, Bristol)
Segment 3 (Richmond, Tall, Dover, Kansas)
Each segment is 4 races. You have a total of 8 different drivers to choose in each segment. You can only pick a driver once for each segment and unable to choose that same driver again until the next segment.
For example: In segment 1 you choose Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott for Daytona. You cannot choose either of them again until Segment 2 begins with Fontana.
Choose your Fate segment: (Charlotte and Pocono):
For these two races you are allowed to pick any 4 drivers of your choosing. You can pick the same 4 for both races or split it up however you feel. No rules except that you have to choose 4 drivers. This will allow a fun middle break and allow you to gain as many points as you can going into the next 3 segements.
Segment 4 through 6 (Michigan to Indianapolis):
Segment 4 (Mich, Sonoma, Chicago, Daytona)
Segment 5 (Kentucky, NH, Pocono, Watkins)
Segment 6 (Mich, Bristol, Darlington, Indy)
Each segment is 4 races. You have a total of 8 drivers to choose in each segment again. Just like segments 1,2, and 3 you can only pick a driver once in each segment.
For example in segment 4 if you choose Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin for Michigan to open segment 4 you cannot choose either one again until segment 5 begins with Kentucky.
Segment and Fate points:
Points will be awarded as:
Position points- Starting position
Pole: 25 points 2nd-5th: 10 Points 6-10th: 5 points 11-End: 2 points
Race Points – Finishing position and Stage/Playoff Win points:
Stage Points: 5 points
Race Win points: 10 Points
Finishing position:
1st – 40 points 2nd- 35 points 3rd – 34 points 4th- 33 points 5th- 32 points
continue counting down until 35th which is 2 points. 36th to 40th is all 1 point.
THE CHASE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The rules swing a little in the Chase for the championship when it begins.
Driver selection is based off of who is in the current contention for the chase. Each segment is 3 races (except the championship @ Homestead). Driver selection for each round changes based on number of drivers still in contention.
Challenger round (Las Vegas to Charlotte- 3 races):
During the challenger round there will be 16 active chase contenders. You have to select 3 drivers for each of the 3 races. You may only choose a driver once in the challenger round. Out of 16 contenders you will be selecting 9 of them. (3 for each race).
For example at Las Vegas you choose Chase, Denny, and Martin Truex. You cannot use them again during this round. You will be able to use them again in the contender round ifthey make it through.
Contender Round (Dover to Talladega):
During the contender round there will only be 12 active chase contenders. You have to select 2 drivers this time for each of the 3 races. You may only choose a driver once in the contender round like before. Out of 12 active drivers in the contender round you will be choosing 6 of them (2 for each race). For example at Dover you choose Martn Truex and Kevin Harvick, you cannot use them again in the contender round. You will be able to in the Eliminator round (that is if they make it that far).
Eliminator Round (Martinsville to Phoenix):
During the Eliminator round there will only be 8 active chase contenders left. You have to select 2 drivers for each race and may only use a driver once in this round also. Out of the 8 contenders you will be choosing 6 of them total. For example if you choose Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick at Martinsville, you will not be able to use either of them at Phoenix or Texas. You will be able to use them at Miami during championship (if they make it to the final 4).
Chase Round Points:
Same as Segement points above except you get a Bonus 10 points if you choose the driver who wins the race. So for a Race win you get 20 points + the 40 points for 1st position.
Championship @ Homestead:
This is the final go around. The championship. Winner take all. The points for the final race are a lot different. There is also a Bonus segment for the final 4 drivers.
By this time we have 4 drivers battling it out for the win. Out of the 4 remaining drivers you will choose the two you think will do the best. You will be given points based on where they pole, stage points, finishing position plus where they finish out of the 4 remaining which is as follows:
1st- 100
2nd - 75
3rd - 50
4th - 25
The race league bonus will be you choosing which driver will be finishing where out of the 4 remaining.
For example it will look like: You will pick 1-4 based on which driver will come in 1st to 4th out of the 4.
Drivers: Position Selected
Kyle Busch 2
Kyle Larson 1
Chase Elliott 3
Joey Logano 4
(For each correct guess you get 50 bonus points, for a wrong guess you get 0 points)
For example: Above I said Kyle Larson will be #1, Kyle Bush #2, Chase Elliott #3 and Joey #4. If I get all them right I get 200 bonus points. But lets say I only get Larson correct, then I get 50 points. If I got 2 right then 100, 3 right then 150. If I get them all wrong I get 0 points.
