Read on Jayski that Marlin might be the filler driver in the 6 car for `06 until Jamie takes it over in `07.
I think Sterling will do good in a Roush car. I don't think Ganassi has all of his ducks in a row and I feel that's why Sterling hasn't been consistent in the 40.
I'm curious to see how Marlin will do with an organized team. Nothing's confirmed yet, I hope he gets it.

Rather see Craven there for '06. He'd do the #6 more justice than Marlin IMO.

I'm starting a rumor: Casey Mears to the 6 as an interim driver for Jack Roush!! :D

Why would a driver want to go to a ride that would only last one year? I don't know if I would want to take a chance and miss out on any other rides that might be available....

I couldn't agree more, fergy. I heard during the race broadcast today that there is a possibility that Roush will try to convince Mark Martin to stay one more year. If that is true, I don't think that that is fair for Roush to do that.

What I don't understand, is why they announced the McMurray deal at this time. Surely it's not that rare that drivers sign contracts well in advance, but usually it's kept private. What is there to gain? Are there any benefits to anybody?

Just my 2 cents
