From a blurb at Jayskis. The quote is from an article in the Hampton Roads, VA ;Daily Press.

I was out of touch for a couple of days, has this been discussed?

Bill Davis confirmed last week that Hut Stricklin won't return to the #23 Dodge next year. (Neither will Hills Brothers Coffee, by the way). On Sunday, the long-time team owner said Steve Park will replace Stricklin in the stable that also includes Ward Burton

Great news,IMO,for Steve.Hate it for Hut.Another tie-in to the old 'Bama gang.

Good luck Steve and hope you find another ride Hut.

Sweet Jesus, Father of creation, Lord of this world, I pray and implore that this not be true. Bill Davis needs Steve Park like Jimmy Spencer needs a triple cheeseburger. Sign Shawna instead. Or Carl Long. Or even Kirk Shelmerdine or however you spell it.

Sorry Park fans, but I have never thought Steve was anything. Ever.

Bill Davis must be going into the crash test business,I like Steve,But that boy hasn't got his $hit together. The bad part is Steve is going to get his self killed. He used all his luck up Sunday. :(

Same here TRL,The only thing for sure is I will be chomping at the bit for the Daytona Race to start. :)

Steve hasn't been running too well but ya never know when a driver and a team might hit if off and win a few races.

it would be good for parks but ya we need to wait til its confirmed

I'll have to see this one!
If that happen's............who's going to th #1 ride of DEI?

Good question PDR,Like I said silly season is going to get just flat goofy this year.:)

Now Paul, why do ya want to say something like that?
Ol steve has givin that little black boX one hell of a work out!
LOL!

I recall so many statements not so long ago saying that Ricky Craven should retire as well. Luckily for Cal Wells and Tide he ignored the advice and worked his tail off to get back on track.

While Steve may have to take a step back, may have to work his tail off for a year or two in less than stellar equipment, to call for his retirement at this point is premature. IMO

Im not quite sure if it is premature. If he gets let go of DEI, I highly doubt that another team will hire him. Hes "damaged Goods" and not a "young Gun". Right now hes not what any team is looking for.

I don't know, it would be interesting to see what he could do with another team, but in the same token if he couldn't turn his career around, he could dissappear from the sport. I think sticking with team DEI for another year and try to turn that program around would be his best shot, but I don't know. Right now he's the Buckshot of the series, and that's not a reputation you want to have.

I hope and pray Steve makes the right choice IF dei let's him go.

This, to me, is one of the silliest silly seasons EVER.
