Not really a NASCAR thread but thought y'all might wanna know.

Steve Park will make his ARCA Racing Series debut on October 9th in the American 200 at Rockingham. Steve Park is a former Rockingham winner on the Sprint Cup side.

I think this is great. Robert Torriere is the same guy who put Steve in his KNPES (I think I finally have the initials down?) with decent success. I think ARCA will be great for him.

Steve's comeback story is pretty impressive, isn't it? A fair amount of success in the minors, he's been back to the Truck Series a few times, and finished 13th at Daytona in July. Not bad for a guy who's gotten as banged up as he has. A story not unlike Ricky Craven.

Steve is daffy and I wouldn't want to be on the same track with him. Time to hang up the helmet, Irvan-style.

I saw him in the pits at Thompson 3-4 years ago, he talks r-e-a-l s-l-o-w, it was almost painful to hear him. Saw him on one of the shows in the past year or so, he's made great progress and I wish him the best.

This is definitely not the case any more. He's on SNR's Sirius Speedway right now doing an interview with Dave Moody and sounds pretty damn good. While he'll never be the same he's come a long way with what I'd feel certain was a lot of effort on his part. He's in the ARCA race this weekend.

I talked to him last year and he seemed fine. He actually won a big Camping World(K&N Pro) Series East race at Adirondack last year.
