They just said on Speed that Steve'll take over Brenden's old ride. Now just gotta find out who the huge sponsor is. It's going to be awesome to see Steve winning races and contending for a championship again. Yes!!!!!!!

Ha Ha Ha ............ NOT
Huh? :idunno: [/b][/quote]
He's a looser Parkfan, don't worry about it. I am proud for Steve. I am with you on the winning races and championships. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I hope he could do good in the CTS, we all know that is a good truck, champ contender, if he races this truck like he did in cup I'm afraid this will be steve's last season as a driver for any competive ride

Don't pay no never mind to Flyboy. Steve will run good in the trucks. I think he will ever win a couple.

Flyboy reminds me of a gnat at a BBQ.... just plain bugs the living crap outta you.

Steve will do good.. and maybe will even win the Championship.

hmmm... a reporter on Speed Channel saying that something is going to happen does NOT make it official.... we'll have to wait for the team to confirm it before it is official....

But, I hope it is true and I hope Steve kicks some butt in the CTS.

Well this look a little more certain than just a reporter saying so...

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Veteran Steve Park will drive the full 2004 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season for Orleans Racing, former Orleans driver Brendan Gaughan revealed Wednesday at Daytona International Speedway.

Gaughan, the son of team owner Michael Gaughan, was at Daytona for a media briefing following the day's Nextel Cup Series Preseason Thunder testing. He was asked who would replace him in Orleans' No. 62 Dodge.

"The driver's name is on the testing voucher for this weekend," Brendan said of the Craftsman Truck test that is scheduled Saturday-Monday. "The Orleans Racing Team had to get rid of me to get a real driver and a real sponsor."

He was announced Tuesday as the driver of the No. 77 Dodge in the Nextel Cup for Penske-Jasper Racing.

Park, of East Northport, N.Y., has been on the job market since he and Cup owner Richard Childress agreed in late fall that Park would not return as the driver of Childress Racing's Chevrolet.

Park was listed on Orleans' roster for the Truck Series test that was submitted to Daytona Speedway officials. The team's crew chief slot, which was vacated when Shane Wilson went with Gaughan to Penske's, is still open.

"We've got an awesome driver who's excited about driving for Orleans Racing," Gaughan said. "I talked to a lot of guys who (couldn't make a commitment). Our driver said he didn't want to be anywhere else and that made a difference to me."

Gaughan said announcements would also be made this weekend regarding the team's ownership and a sponsor, which Gaughan unsuccessfully sought all last season while dominating the point race.

"We have a new partner as an owner -- more like a managing partner," Gaughan said. "With my dad managing the casinos, this will be a help for him, and she will also be announcing our sponsor."

Gaughan also said that David Pepper, who most recently spent the past five seasons as marketing director at Bobby Hamilton Racing, was Orleans Racing's new team manager.

I like Steve Park as a Person and a Driver. The problem is that Steve came back to racing too soon after his accident!

Look at Jerry Nadeau >> He is taking his time and making sure he is in tip top shape for coming back!

The hole Steve Park thing bothers me. Obviously there are issues with his health >> Its sad to see...it really is!

It wasn't a reporter, it was the host of the show. And I'm sure they had it confirmed before saying it, Speed does not announce rumors as facts.

It's good to know that you know more than the NASCAR doctors who had to clear him, and the IRL and CART doctors who also checked him and said he was fine.

Hey, parkfan! He knows alot about contracts too! Thinks that Tony's is what everyone, Dale Jr. included, base their negotiations on! I guess that's why Jeff Gordon signed a lifetime contract with Hendrick about 6 or 7 years ago!

Jeff Gordons contract is Old News >> 7 Years ago >> Tony's is the one everyone uses now as their Baseline >> I heard Jr say it himself >> He used Tony's contract!

When you use the word everyone that would include Jeff Gordon. So............... :p

Flyboy.... why don't you go check Steve out for yourself? Since you know everything about everything!

I have a photo of the 62 that I took at the CTS race, gonna use that as one of my avatars one of these days.

This is a great thing for Steve to be in a truck ride and hopefully, he can get back up to Nextel Cup real soon.

Steve Park is also part owner of the 61 truck and 62 truck..

Well Slick >> For your Info >> I have actually Talked to Steve before!

Thanks guys, hope to see the gator in victory lane many times this year.

It looks like Steve could run some cup races for Orleans racing also.

Win! Park's Expectation!

"Win!", replied Steve Park, when asked what his expectations are for the 2004 season with Orleans Racing. "To be with Michael Gaughan, this Orleans Racing team and be in a position to win a championship, that's exciting. Our focus is on the truck series, to win as many races as possible and when it all shakes out, have a chance to win the championship." Park also spoke about the potential for NEXTEL Cup action. "We're eligible for the Shootout and we want to prepare a Dodge for that, there's nothing concrete yet, we have three weeks left and a lot of good prospects. If I do any kind of Cup racing it will probably be with Orleans Racing. They have two or three brand new cars in the shop and there's a lot of preparation, but our main focus is on the trucks and to get to winning races."

Johnny Allen will be Steve's crew chief.

Orleans Racing new #62 crew chief

I have to say, I'm starting to wonder about the sponsor, it was supposed to be announced at the same time that Steve was named driver, and I've seen nothing lately.
