For those who like a little ridiculous with the sublime, there's the budding mini-controversy involving Tony Stewart's one-off sponsor for today's Busch Series race. The paint job for Stewart's Chevy, a car actually owned by Kevin Harvick, promotes a new album by Kid Rock, "American Bad Ass" -- except, of course, NASCAR temporarily taped over one of the words Friday (yep, that one). Stewart, as is his nature, reportedly removed the tape during the day. Stay tuned on this fun little episode. We're talking about a sanctioning body that recently gave a thumbs-down to sponsorship by "Redneckjunk.com," [Las Vegas-#50-Cope] but a thumbs-up to a diaper-rash product called "Boudreaux's Butt Paste," [#90-Donlavey Racing] so anything can happen.(Daytona Beach News Journal)
