STEWART IS SHAKING HIS FIST AT …
JUAN PABLO MONTOYA

Former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya has emerged as a threat on the Nextel Cup scene faster than many thought he would. His eighth-place finish on Sunday and 13th-place ranking attest to that. But he's ruffled some feathers along the way, including Tony Stewart's. Montoya sent Stewart spinning and into a wreck on Sunday.

"Maybe [team owner Chip] Ganassi doesn't pay him to run in the back, but you might want to be just a little bit more patient just long enough to learn everything and how everything's done over here," Stewart said. "He didn't make friends with me today so he won't get any help from me in the future."

So Add to the list..

1-Jeff Gordon (Atlanta)
2- Robby Gordon (Atlanta)
3- Tony Raines (Martinsville)
4-Tony Stewart (Texas)

Yehaaaa the list is growing..cant wait for him to be put in place soon. :beerbang:

He best hope all of them don't decide to pay him back. That would be a BIG payday. LOL

So after all this is JPM still going to race at Tony's dirt track with the guys??

My how the talk has turned on this guy in a short time. Not long ago, it appeared that I was the only person here who was bad mouthing the guy. My opinion of the guy has changed a bit and he's proven to me that he's a real racer, equal or better than half the regulars, and has yet to learn all the ropes. I still don't care for the guy, but because he's ruffled a few feathers doesn't make him a target. Cripes, we've heard Tony talk this way to just about everyone on the circuit. They all say things like that when they are on the bad end of a spin. As far as I'm concerned, the only one who has a real bone to pick with the guy is Pruett. All of the other ones are pure racing incidents that have happened time and time again, whether it involves a rookie or an aged vet. Has everyone forgotten what the real Tony sounds like? And besides, Dale Earnhardt made this kid look like the rookie that he is when it comes to wrecking people and each time the old Ironhead did it, he was praised by his fans. JPM is well on his way of gaining a huge following and he's a threat to all of the other drivers.

Gawd, I don't believe that I wrote this post.

¿Qué es todos problema? Juan es un conductor hábil, y quizá que es lo que lo que usted envidia.

What is all problem? Juan is a skillful conductor, and perhaps that is what what you envy.

^ From freetranslator...lol

blah i dont envy him. I just lost alot of respect for him that's all.

He just don't impress me any. I don't really care either way.

or

Él sólo no impresionar a mí ninguno. No me preocupo realmente either way.

reck, that's not quite what I said, but it will do.

I'm rather fluent with Spanish (NOT MEXICAN).

I still like JPM, and in a way, compare him to a young Stewart or Dale Sr. He sure has more driving skills and personality than Todd Bodine!i

He may be a good, or even great driver, but he drives with way to much aggresion. He is now on my "Sh1t list". Wrecking Tony Rains in Martinsville was bad enough, but this week was over the top.

I try..i get whatever freetranslation gives me. lol

His list just keeps growing and growing and growing...

Tony is unhappy that he spun!!?? Man thats a joke after all the wrecks he has caused......and we wont even mention Senior

I gaining more respect for this rookie all the time

No pienso tan!! En cada caso él ha sido la persona que golpea el otro conductor, que demuestra que su capacidad es limitada.

He can suck a big fat one. There is no doubt that he has talent but the guy takes a lot of aggressive chances. I feel like he needs to learn more about what a stock car can and can't do. Maybe he is exited with the fact that you can bumb in nascar without doing much damage where in formula one his car would explode.

The bad part is that I'm starting to like his driving. As soon as he spins jr. I'll be a fan just for the fact that it will tick off all those red shirted obnoxious people in the stands. Can you imagine the amount of trash thrown on the track when that happens?

Those of you that said you don't like JPM and never have, is it because you followed him some in CART and IRL and didn't like him from that or because he's a "foreigner"? Just curious.

It is not because he is a foreigner. It seems he has a better than thou attitude. The only thing I have ever agreed with Tony on is that he needs to learn some things before he comes in here and starts pushing people around.

And please let's not forget he is a Rookie for pete's sake. I mean drive hard but dont wreck the other guy in the process.

I haven't decided if I like JPM or not but his driving style does remind me another guy who came from open wheel not all that long ago ;)

Glad to see the "Double Standard" is still alive and well. Montoya has done nothing different than dozens of drivers have done in the past. But seeing he is from another series that doesn't have alot of fans here he is being chastized in a manner that i percieve as being unfair. He's an agressive driver, big deal, how bout all the times here that Martin and Burton have been railed on for NOT being aggressive. Cut the guys some slack. He IS going to be a force to be reckoned with. I've always wished that Emerson Fittapaldi would have come to NASCAR.

Yeh i agree JPM does nothing that Stewart, Kennseth, Harvick, Edwards....the list goes on, hasn't done and still does. I think he is an awesome driver and when it comes to Infineon this year ...watch out! He will be one of the cars if not the car to beat there. It's funny how when there is the slightest bit of change people are quick to put a negative connotation with it. It won't be long IMO when JPM is kicking butt in Cup and Toyota has cars in the top 10 in points. Change means progress usually, right now Nascar needs something to boost the hohum factor. Thats' my take of course yours will most likely differ.

Actually, I followed JPM through his other car series and did pull for him. I just think he is trying to hard in this series to get that "first win" and he needs to earn respect and learn the driving curve before he tries to race side-by-side. After at least two incidents where he lost it racing side-by-side he should know by now the aero is different and takes a little more understanding.

Tony Stewart talking about someone's lack of patience ?? :owquitit: That's freaking hilarious.

People seem to forget that most of the drivers when they first came in were involved in a lot of wrecks, including TS, JJ, JG and both of the busch brothers. Seems like it takes a few years for them to get wise to when to and when not push it. I like Tony a lot, but he can't very well say much since JPM is doing pretty much the same thing he did and to an extent is still doing.

Seems Tony forgot this is how he was driving on Sunday... a single car spin from pusing the car to get a lap back...

Well at least he promised his fans that he would not retire immediately but stay at least until the end of his contract, the end of 2009. He just needs enough money to live comfortably. Thing is he's only pulling down a measley $10M per year. I don't see how that will last him long even if he is able to bank most of it. I hope he had this move planned a long time ago so his bankroll is already flush.
Kyle Petty also said he's thinking about retiring in a couple of years as well.

Guess Stewart is shaking his fist at ... Jeff Gordon tonight? No interview.

That boy needs a serious attitude adjustment.

He is afraid he'll say he wants to retire after getting beat.

Tony got taken to sunday night School, then he whines...PRICELESS!!
