Stewart vs Jr over the pit line

I just saw the Spring Dover race footage of the 20 car having his front tire on the line on a pit stop. He was penalized for this! Last week Jr was well on the line with his right rear tire and he did not get penalized. What gives? Can you have the rear tires over the line and not the front or did nascar mess up once again?? I'd like to know!

Thanks

I like Jr and all, he's one of my favorites, but I was wondering the same thing..

your right rear tire does not have to be in the box....this has been stated many times........if your a race fan and watched enough races you would have seen this many times in the past

this is a nonissue

TRL.. thanks for answering that in a classy way. I'm sorry that some of us here aren't "that big of race fans" compared to others. ::sarcasm::

I think they mentioned Tony Stewart when they were talking about how Jr. was in his pit. But yeah the right rear can be out from what I understand and what people are saying.

All was ask was a simple question. All it took was a simple answer. :(

I think you got one until someone bruoght up a true race fan or what ever they said.

it wasnt meant to be degrading......but the question was brought up because jr's tire was outside the box. its like people are always trying to find a way that Nascar is giving him an edge or he's cheating.

this happens every race...hence the comment that if you watch races you will notice that it happens all the time...its a normal thing...thats why its a nonissue

Thanks for the clarification. That was the only thing that could make sense in this situation!
