CARTERSVILLE, GA – After the fourth week of the 2007 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series season, Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL, Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS, and Frank Wilson of Milton, FL lead their respective Regions.
Elkins finished third on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL which helped him open up a 33-point lead in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region over Jackson Hale of Southside, AL. Elkins has 184 points and Hale has 151 points.
Logan Yates of Delta, AL posted his second win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and is third in the StormPay.com WRS East Region points with 138. Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL and Adam Martin of Talladega, AL are tied for fourth with 127 points.
Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA was the winner on Friday night at Penton Raceway and has moved into the sixth spot the East Region points with 118. Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA is seventh with 110 points, and Shane Barrett of Tallapoosa, GA is eighth with 97 points.
Jeff Smith of Villanow, GA took his second straight win of the season on Saturday night at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA, and is ninth with 82 points. Brandon Haley of Lavonia, GA was the winner on Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA, and is tied for the tenth position in the East Region with Dustin Stewart of Talladega, AL.
Reynolds leads the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region with 167 points, and has a 15-point lead over the defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS. Jay Blair of Angie, LA remains in the third spot with 128 points, and Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is fourth with 122 points.
Doug Todd of Brandon, MS is fifth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region point standings with 119 points, and Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS is sixth with 118 points. Kody Barber of Bogalusa, LA is tied for the seventh spot with Owen Stockstill of Columbia, MS, each with 92 points.
Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is in the ninth spot with 81 points, and Tony Barnett of Utica, MS rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region with 73 points.
In StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, T.K. King of Columbus, MS bested a 12-car field at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on Saturday night. Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS did not report their results to StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series officials.
The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series tracks in the South Region were off over the weekend due to the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event last Friday and Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, MS.
