Stremme To Sit Out At Infineon
Rookie David Stremme is one of several full-time Cup drivers who will be displaced when the tour travels to the road course at Sonoma. Scott Pruett, who drives for Chip Ganassi in the Rolex Sports Car Series, will take over for Stremme for the June 26 race, aiming to improve the team's owners points position (currently 39th). Stremme attended the Bondurant road racing school last year and hopes to improve his skills when he tests with Pruett this week at Virginia International Raceway. Stremme says the cars have improved considerably since crew chief Steven Lane took over in April, but the team is still working to improve its pit crew.(Sporting News)
 
good idea.. I think Pruett will show Stremme a thing or two. besides I bet he finishes top 10, certainly helping out in the points.. and helping to keep sponsers happy..
 
Stremme shouldn't be in this ride in the first place.

my thoughts. Sorenson i think is good enough for his ride, but i'm not so sure stremme is as far as the 2 ganassi rookies.
 
I think hats a good move. I just hope it turns out that way. We will just have to wait and see though. LETS GO RACIN!!

I do not think either of them has really shown they "deserve" to be in a cup ride fo far, IMHO. The big thing is Ganassi is notorious for NOT giving rookies time to develop and simply moving on to another driver.
 
At least Sorenson won a few races and demonstrated that he could run up front consistently in the Busch series. Stremme was on that reality Busch tv series , that's about the extent of his resume.
 
Sorenson should still be in Busch IMO.. he needs a little more time to develop, then he would be great.. now hes stuck in a mediocore ride and wont get the good rides he needs to really do well in Cup..
 
Agreed...Reed needs to get into something like a Toyota possibly?
