1. (1) RYAN NEWMAN
He’s finally gotten up to the top-5 in points. The trick now is to stay there.

2. (2) KEVIN HARVICK
He supposedly was 9 green-flag laps short on fuel. He ran out with 13 to go. Somebody screwed up.

3. (4) JIMMIE JOHNSON
Last year, he swept Dover. This year, he swept New Hampshire. Who wants to take bets on next year’s track?

4. (3) MATT KENSETH
Technically, the magic number is now 8. Realistically, it’s close to 15.

5. (5) TERRY LABONTE
Running out of gas may or may not have cost him a top-10, but stalling on pit road certainly did.

6. (7) DALE EARNHARDT JR
NHIS is one of the few places where you can still be competitive if you’re down on horsepower. Jr. proved that.

7. (6) KURT BUSCH
He sure got a workout (read: he had no power-steering) during the race, even if he didn’t get a good finish to show for it.

8. (14) BILL ELLIOTT
I don’t want to see Bill sink into Darrell Waltrip mode, but I’d hate to see him retire when he’s still capable of battling for wins.

9. (13) JAMIE McMURRAY
He’s now got a 72 point cushion on Greg Biffle in driver standings. NOW does he deserve ROTY?

10. (9) ROBBY GORDON
He gambled on fuel mileage in an attempt to win the race, but it didn’t quite work out.

11. (10) TONY STEWART
Only one top-10 finish in the last eight races. It’s a wonder that he’s still in 11th in points.

12. (16) JEREMY MAYFIELD
Suddenly, this team is almost back to respectability. Or maybe it’s just a cover until Jeremy can get a new contract.

13. (22) RICKY RUDD
I do believe that Ricky and the Wood Brothers have a new favorite car. And they have several more races they can use it at.

14. (12) BOBBY LABONTE
The last couple months, I’ve been seeing more of the 2002 Bobby Labonte, and less of the 2000 edition that was clicking early in the year.

15. (8) JEFF BURTON
Engine cost him a legitimate shot at winning a race. His winless streak is now at 66 races.

16. (15) JEFF GORDON
He stopped for gas, and still ran out. Guess they were in too much of a hurry.

17. (11) GREG BIFFLE
Early engine woes took him out of any sort of contention for anything.

T18. (17) WARD BURTON
I heard that Ward tried to wreck JJ several times after his encounter with the wall. That’s not very nice.

T18 (29) JOE NEMECHEK
3rd place certainly does nothing but help a job search. Then again he’s always run his best after announcing that’s he’s job-hunting.

20. (18) JOHNNY BENSON
He’s at about the level in points that he was last year – and without having missed any races.

21. (26) RUSTY WALLACE
Dover may look like a good place for Rusty to snap the streak at first glance, but he hasn’t won there since the concrete was put down.

22. (20) DALE JARRETT
A miserable weekend capped with a very scary moment on the racetrack.

23. (24) ELLIOTT SADLER
Elliott’s sandwiched between two rookies in points. I’m sure he’d rather be a slice of bread, in that case.

24. (19) MICHAEL WALTRIP
Michael tried to blame his own ineptitude at coming back to a caution on Bill Elliott. What goes around, comes around.

25. (21) MARK MARTIN
Two years ago, everyone was talking about Mark Martin’s struggles. Why is it that hardly a word has been uttered about his struggles this year?

26. (28) JIMMY SPENCER
At least Jimmy has the Truck Series trophy to smile about. Everything else was a wash.

27. (30) ANDRETTI/GREEN
Two races, two solid runs. Too bad he probably won’t be in that car next year.

28. (23) STEVE PARK
It’s looking like simple economics is going to force Steve to do what he should have done 1.5 years ago – go back to the Busch Series and get it all back.

29. (25) RICKY CRAVEN
Just a rough weekend for the home-town boy. First he crashed the primary car, then he had a faulty carburetor on the back-up car, and then the brake rotors got warped as a result of the faulty carburetor.

30. (27) STERLING MARLIN
How bad has Sterling run lately? He’s only a few points away from being passed by one of his rookie teammates.

31. (31) DAVE BLANEY
The only time I saw him during the broadcast was when he ran out of gas.

32. (32) MIKE SKINNER
He has five races left to prove he belongs in Cup in 2004. Good luck.

33. (33) KENNY WALLACE
Maybe he and Scott Wimmer should swap rides; then I think everybody would be happy.

34. (35) TODD BODINE
Nothing to see here. Move along.

35. (34) KEN SCHRADER
Even on a bad day, Kenny found a way to get some TV time.

36. (37) JASON LEFFLER
Nope, he’s not the answer to the team’s problems, either.

37. (38) CASEY MEARS
He finished 16th and 17th in the two NHIS races. I think he now has a favorite Cup track.

38. (36) TONY RAINES
He’s only 21 points away from taking back the distinction of “Highest Ranked Unsponsored Driver.”

39. (39) KYLE PETTY
Another week, and I still haven’t heard of PE hiring a manager. The longer they wait, the worse things are going to get.

40. (40) MORGAN-McCLURE
MM needed somebody to drive the car so that Johnny could keep his rookie status. Who else than the same man they fired two years ago?

41. (41) CHRISTIAN FITTIPALDI
He already is guaranteed not making the Dover show. At least he doesn’t have to go through the hassle of traveling to the race.

42. (42) LARRY FOYT
Go home, go home, go home, go home. That’s how many weeks in a row that he has.

All I have to say is...JJ wrecking Ward wasn't nice, and too bad Ward didnt successfully get him. <_<
