Stuck in the mud ---

Wonder what the pilot is gonna do for employment after that "little" miscalculation...

Thanks, TRL!

How do you "unstuck" on of those without damaging anything?
Sometimes if the plane is totally unloaded, it can power its way out. But looking at that right landing gear, I don't think that's an option. Call the tow trucks. They would have to hitch to the nose and lines to the landing gear and pull together.

My dad was a pilot --- he never buried one quite like that, but he did run off the runway.

Scott Speed calling someone else an idiot because of their driving? :XXROFL:

I'd say that 'stuck in the mud' is a fitting euphemism for that bale of Nascar drivers.

LOL. Jet - not jet dryer ;)
Funny thing is that Montoya's pilot denied responsibility for the whole thing. In his interview from the airfield care center he said it was just one of them taxiway deals. He said he'll have to look at the replay before making any more comments.

Personally I think the replay showed that he was clearly below the line. ;)

Those below the yellow line passes will never get off the ground.

A little disclaimer..... As Chris Myers would say, 'I kid because I care'. Seriously, glad to read that everyone's OK and that this has been a joke to the people aboard as well as being able to make light of it here. We've lost far too many of these people over the years. Stupid mistakes happen. It's too bad this couldn't always be the result.

If it hadn't been for the flaps, that dang thing might have gone airborne.

Sure, you're gonna try to blame this one on Hendricks again, aren't you?

Another big expense is the plane will be out of service until its inspected inch by inch.
I don't know if this is true or not but I heard that the plane was taken back to NASCAR's R&D Center and it was found to be 2/1000's of an inch out of tolerance. All teams on board will be facing hefty fines and penalty's.

sometimes the entire win assembly needs to be replaced. I doubt that's the case here, but they aren't built for lateral stress.

No worries for Hendrick. Middlebrooke was on the plane.
