If someone thinks they can chop me off and I'm going to stop on the middle of the highway to let their dumbass in, they've got a surprise coming when they're writing a check to Progressive for my brand new car.

Most of us patient drivers pick a lane and stay in it, or take enough time to change lanes when we need to so we're not making dumbass last second moves. It's actually quite an amazing concept. But hey, I'd love to have the entire front end of my car replaced (and for you tailgaters, rear end as well) and I'm going to need a rental car when my car's in Joe's shop for three weeks. :)

Geez, just a week or two ago you were byitching someone almost kilt ya, now this.
Maybe the problem isn't them?

FWIW, I drove 45-50k a year for 17 years in a company car. Got rear ended in a heavy rain storm once, broad sided with a vision challenged individual [almost legally blind with cataracts] who ran a stop sign.
I T-boned a guy who made a illegal left turn in front of me. My bad, it was determined he was at fault

So roughly 850 thousand miles without a accident that was my fault. And that's just my corporate work record. Throw in a few more 100,000 miles personal use. I also got rear ended again at a stop light in my then new truck.

Like I said maybe the problem isn't them. That's all I'm sayin'.

Yep, I'm sure I'm the problem. Driving 55 mph, staying in one lane, giving myself ample time to make a turn.

All I'm saying is people are driving real aggressively today, and I don't want to be involved in an accident because someone else can't give themselves enough time to get from point A to point B. It would be a huge inconvenience to me to be without a car for a month because someone "was in a hurry to get back to work from their lunch break".

There are stop lights in La Plata, there's traffic -- maybe you should pack your ****ing lunch if 60 minutes isn't enough time for you to go eat.

If you had the Urban Assault Vehicle ( http://www.racing-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=38192 ) then you wouldn't notice the stupid drivers :D

I'd love that.

If someone wants to drive recklessly and kill themselves, that's fine by me. I just don't want to be in someone else's accident.

I would walk to everywhere in La Plata if I didn't already know some dumbass teenage kid would run over me "because it would be fun".

Maybe you should get a bus pass, that's all I'm sayin'.

Seriously, if you're having that many close calls maybe you should be looking at yourself.

I've been accused of driving too agressively, I think of it more as driving defensively. I'm going to be the one making the decision, I'm not laying back wondering if some ying yang is going to do this, or maybe that.

We were coming home from the race around 2AM sunday morning

We're in the slow lane, coming up on an off ramp. Completely open in front of us, approaching an on-ramp.

Guy comes flying up the ramp, looks like he'll be about 8 carlengths ahead of us when he gets on. All of a sudden, right when he goes to cross over, he slams his brakes, gets along sides us, then blows his horn to let him over. Dad backs off, the guy moves over, gives us the finger, brake checks us (yea, brake check a 9,000 pound rig, good idea), then flys down the highway.

Dad's like "What the **** was his problem?"
