Hey Andy you forgot to high-lite one.

1 24 Jeff Gordon Chevrolet DuPont 94.974 19.938 Leader

But he's probably on a sub par team too- remember the 77 was nothing spectacular either, and i think it's the same core members.

Highly doubt that. Roger Penske wants nothing more then to get Sam into a race. You can bet he has equipment equal to Kurt and Ryan. JPM said in an interview that he thought Sam was still trying to hard and driving the car like it was an open wheel car. Watching him qualify today you could just tell he was overdriving the thing. He is trying way too hard.

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be betting on him having the same equipment.

However, what you do with your money is your business. :)

Same problem Steve Kinser had when he tried entering the ranks. Some guys have an extremely difficult time making changes to their driving style and Hornish might be one of them.

Offering a personal opinion, I don't see Sam Hornish as a Tony Stewart or Montoya type contender in NASCAR. Something is missing with Hornish and it might very well be he is being pushed into the deal. I doubt it is because his cars are not the same as the others on the team but it could very well be Hornish cannot communicate the nuances of settup to his crew chief. More than one top dog went under the porch for that reason alone. :)

Congrats to Jeff Gordon winning the pole. And its nice to Sam Hornish qualified finally!:)
