WASHINGTON (AP) - Ordinary voters need to know that government works for them and not just for well-heeled campaign contributors, defenders of the nation's new law regulating money in politics told the Supreme Court on Monday. On the other side, lawyers for opponents including Senate Republican whip Mitch McConnell argued that the law muzzles free speech and hamstrings campaigning at every level.
