No. 37 Crew Chief Suspended For Substance Abuse
The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) has suspended crew chief Glenn Darrow indefinitely, for violation of the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy. Darrow, crew chief for the No. 37 Dodge that competes in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series (with Tony Raines as the driver), was tested for banned substances last Saturday (Oct. 1) at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. Test results were positive, violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-E (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2005 NASCAR rule book.
