Swan Racing expands to two cars in 2014 w/Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt

I'm looking forward to it. Not sold on Whitt but PK did pretty well in his two appearances in the #30.

I'm really liking what Brandon Davis is doing with this team. I have no idea where he plans on getting all the cash but as a fan I'm not going to complain. I think Kilgerman is the better driver but if 2 young guys get a shot in Cup I'm all for it. Kudos to Swan Racing!

MWR loses a car and Swan Racing adds a car. All balance is restored.

Whitt is terrible, probably can't get any worse that he already is, Klingerman won't do that well in a swan car, but at least he will give it 100% and finish the race. Whitt is a caution waiting to happen.

triad engines and 3 year old chassis?? what are these guys doing for motors and cars?? its tuff seeing these new teams come on line and get stuck using old equipment that is lucky to run in the top 25, sounds to me like another front row motorsports type deal.

They are Toyotas FRM, but we love them. Atleast they are racing and not cashing last place checks.

Stoked for PK. The next generation has officially arrived.

Starting at the bottom , with cheap equipment and underpaid drivers and crew ? Why can't they start at the top with Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth ? Are they nuts ?

Technically, they did. Not in the Cup series but in the Busch Series.

what I like to see is these new teams form an alliance with the big teams, like what furniture row does or even phoenix racing. get cars and motors from the big boys, some technical help along the way and at least a shot at running decent, maybe at least be able to show flashes of speed, maybe a good qualifying run here or there top 15 finish here or there etc. to me it seems to be a waste of time watching the BK cars or front row cars be lucky to be in the top 30. I understand the thinking lets get in the game run some races and hopefully rattle loose a sponsor. but how can you do that when your car is lucky to run in the top 25?? it just seems counter productive.

Smaller companies should be able to afford to run on those slower cars .I remember Hooters getting started , they weren't paying anywhere near the money that the top twenty cars were asking but the lucked in to a couple good situations and marketed the heck out of it in their restaurants . And I never heard Rick Hendrick or Jack Roush wanting to buy their stuff from someone else . They wanted to build stuff that could beat everyone else , not tie them.
