This 19 year old unrepentant, cold-blooded murderer who opened fire inside of Chardon High School in 2012 and went on to taunt the survivors and his victims families with profanities, middle fingers and other assorted nonsense during his trial, just escaped from prison at about 7:45 pm or so tonight. There is, of course, a pretty massive manhunt for him and the 45 year old recidivist scumbag that he escaped with. There was another piece of crap that escaped with them, but they got him pretty quickly. It's been over 5 hours now and they are getting more and more worried about where he might be. Chardon school officials are keeping tabs on the situation and will wait to see if he is caught before they decide whether or not to cancel school tomorrow.

Yeah, this is the guy

These local news people are getting under my skin. They keep telling people every 5 minutes or so "remember, don't pick up any hitch hikers or open the door to any people you don't know". Apparently we are too stupid to know that. They also keep insisting that these guys will be wearing "prison blues", although with all of the pictures and talking heads they keep putting on the screen they haven't bothered to show us what the ones they were wearing when they left look like. They also, once in a great while, bother to point out that they may have changed clothes in an effort to hide their identity (gee, ya think?). The one guy who is about as square as they come keeps referring to prison as "the joint".

By the way, they announced a little while ago that Chardon High School, the school where he killed those three kids and shot and injured the other two, is indeed going to be closed tomorrow just to be on the safe side.

They caught the little bastard!

The prison he was being held in was out in the country in Lima, Ohio. Early reports say Lane was hiding in a farm house or barn type of a deal when a law enforcement Cessna type plane that was using heat sensing technology tipped ground troops to check the building where they found him. There's no word on if he resisted arrest or anything else.
