Maybe Alex Bowman gets my vote heard that one over the radio. He took the blame for doing a boneheaded move when interviewed. Hard to say because I missed a lot of the race today. Heard some on XM and then luckily caught the last 30 laps at a sports bar on TV with no sound or closed caption(!!!!).

GM and I say this because who would want all your cars together and be wiped out by one of your own or maybe a lone Toy or Ford. Just because it worked one time for SHR doesn't mean it will work with all the chevs in a group.

another was the booth who said Matt D. was out of a ride for next season.
I think he lucked into a very good ride and the sponsors son as his sponsor.

I like Bubba but he turned himself across someone's nose racing in last. No doubt the spotter had him clear but c'mon man.

NASCAR.com's stream for showing us the final wreck and not the photo finish.

I saw Bubba and Freddie tweeted about it. Cassill ran out of gas and Bubba had to evade him. Bubba said he didn't hear Freddie at the time when he said the 77 was at his rear bumper.

Sucks, but silly **** happens. They had a really good car, too.

Bubba Wallace and company for Bone-heading live in-car in front of a national audience.

Stenhouse led the most laps and finished 9th, I don’t get how he’s the bonehead but okay. For me it’s a tie between Bowman taking himself and half the field out while leading, and Austin Dillon for sacrificing a top 4 starting position on a GWC to drop back so Stenhouse could push him

I saw this, and just had to share...

None from the drivers. It was a Talladaga race, the crap is basically written on the wall before the green flag drops.

I would nominate any fan that walks away unimpressed. The last lap that Blaney and Newman put together was classic greatness.
Newman did a great job of keeping it together and not wrecking and Blaney gracefully moved him up.
I usually hate most bump and runs, but that was a work of art.

Bowman's spotter for telling him he needed to go high and Logano for running over him when he clearly had enough time to drop down and pass on the left. Bowman just did what he was told to do.

spoken like a true Bowman fan. Personally I thought he made a mistake, these guys are racing really hard this year. He took credit for it, didn't throw anybody under the bus and he went up a notch in my fan book, I really like the Hendrick drivers. Bowman always has a kind of a smirk on his face and a chip on his shoulder. He has had a hell of a year considering Hendrick's lack of speed even if he doesn't advance.

Austin Dillon for dropping back to try and connect with Stenhouse.

I agree that he made a mistake by pulling up there and I was not the least bit surprised when I heard him taking full responsibility in an interview after the crash because that is the way he was when he was younger also. There is no doubt that he caused the wreck but I also think that Joey could have avoided it if he would have just moved down and passed him. I don't know if he just punted him to teach him a lesson or he knew if he moved down he would have lost his fast train. The bottom line Alex learned a valuable lesson that should help him in the future.

If you watched the clip in post #28, Bowman was high and Logano with a pretty good gap started to go down underneath him and would have cleared him but Bowman came down and they touched. The clip above has a good shot of it from Logano's in car camera.

I just finished watching an over head shot and saw that. It looked like Joey tried to go low. I will take back the bone head award I gave Logano.:)
