Lemme just say, I'm counting down the days 'till it's release date into theaters.

I won't waste my time watching in the theater, i'll wait to it comes out on dvd and rent it.

When it makes it to the tube, I might watch it (depending on what else is on).

I'll see it opening night, I believe this film will do well. It looks pretty funny.

The king of all funny nascar movies will always be Days of Thunder...

;)

I might catch it on DVD...haven't been to the theatre for quite some time....

Now see if y'all wanted to bring the board together someone would rent the dvd when it came out (prolly next month) and then broadcast it over the net for all of us to watch.
Me, I doubt it makes it to HBO or STime. Its more likely Starz bound...

If it hits HBO or Showtime, I might watch it then. Maybe.

LOL, you'll see Cars but not this one, LOL

It looks pretty funny to me. Days of Thunder rules tho

Well, I'll quote a conversation I had with my Dad...

Me: Have you seen the previews for Talladega Nights?
Dad: Well it looks pretty silly for a movie about NASCAR...but, then again, so was Days of Thunder and I liked it.

The difference here is that one was unintentionally a comedy and this one is a comedy in name.

I don't plan on ever seeing it
same here. If it's a comedy and I can detect every single discrepancy of real vs computer aided, it's probably a good idea for me not to see it.

I can't say that I won't see the movie, but I sure won't go to the theater to watch it. But with the various responses we've gotten, it has me thinking of something that I've been thinking now for some time. We now have a new generation of comics who are making the comedy movies and many of them are guys and gals that I've not found funny. I'd say that it's because they are of the X generation and have a different idea of humor than I do. The daughter, who definately loves most of these guys and gals lets me know that I'm way off base. I remember as a kid, my mother loved Buster Keaton and while I would sometimes enjoy his humor, it just wasn't for me. I loved those guys that I grew up with and who are now either dead, or retired for the most part. I think the tide turned for me about 10 to 15 years ago. Probably close to the time Adam Sandler came along. What is strange here is that if I do watch a movie with these guys, I seem to really enjoy it, but it's getting me to watch it that is the problem.

Anyone else have this problem?

Oh, one last question...is Owen Wilson a commedian or a dramatic actor? I know, there are many actors and actresses who do both, but ...

I liked Buster Keaton. Wilson has played serious parts but he's better suited for comedic parts and I like his as well. Some of Sandler is funny and some is beyond me. If you want a good example of what's hot today watch the Dudesons on Spike. Some of that is funny (chocolate syrup on the toliet paper in the grocery store) but a lot just sends shivers up my body(pliers on the nipples or a baseball bat to the nuts). So yeah it probably is a generation thing.

i dont like a lot of comedy these days, since its more about yelling and getting hurt. I enjoy some of Will's stuff, but not all of it.. i like smart humor i guess... but i like some slapstick, just not over the top.. Adam Sandler is over the top.. but i liked Anchor Man and thats wat Talladega Nights is basically so I plan on seeing it.. on dvd, then later on HBO if it makes it..
