First off, Happy New Year to all!! :)

Just got through trying to watch Talladega Nights, is it just me, or, does anyone else think it is one of the most stupid movies ever made? I got about 30 minutes of the movie and had to stop because my mind was telling me you are severely damaging your cognitive abilities. If I am going to ruin brain cells, let the cause be BEER.

I do not see how anyone thinks Will Farrel is funny, he is just plain stupid acting.

Stupid is considered funny and there are a lot of stupid funny people. They have a guy in Nascar who was part of a show with young Petty.
Never made it past a couple of moments once he opened his mouth.
 
it is a satire for heavens sake. I remember when Edwards wrecked out on the last lap he got out of his car and ran across the finish line. Kurt ran the "Me" car and was using lines from the movie during the race. Cult favorite around here.

One of the worst movies I have ever watched and cannot fathom how anyone would find it the least bit enjoyable. I love "stupid" comedies but this was not funny and the special effects were god awful.
 
NASCAR fans love it for some reason. I guess they don't see that it's putting down racing in general.

It's so stupid it's funny. To me anyways. I'm sure it might rub some people the wrong way, especially if you're not in the mood for stupid.

Also it wouldn't be so funny to me if it wasn't Talladega.

SDJ....if you made it 30 minnits, you made it longer than me....I could only stand 5 minnits o it and I was done. I thought my 5 minnits were a huge waste of time...

That was a collective 30 minutes as I had DVR'd it and fast forwarded it trying to find some saving grace, not to be.
 
I watched it when I was ****faced one time and thought it was funy. When I was sober, that was a different story.

Just a (really bad) parody of Days of Thunder.
 
Will Ferrell has yet to make a good movie. He's kinda funny in his interviews but his movies are terrible. I watched Anchorman 2 on Netflix the other day and it was awful.
 
Best thing Will Ferrell ever did was "Pearl."

It's not one of my favorite movies, but it did have some funny parts. I think the "baby Jesus" scene is overrated (people think that was hilarious, but I never thought it was that funny), but there are some laugh out loud moments in that movie.

I actually think Will Farell's best movie is Stranger Than Fiction.



I really wish some comedians would learn the art of subtly in their comedy acts.
