Talledega domination?

Was looking over the past winners at Dega and somewhat to my surprise found that no current WC drivers have more than two wins on the Alabama Superspeedway. Dale Earnhardt leads the all time list with 10 wins, but of the current drivers only 5 have ever won more than once. The current drivers with two wins.

Bill Elliott
Dale Earnhardt Jr
Jeff Gordon
Mark Martin
Sterling Marlin
 
Oooops, make that six drivers. Terry Labonte also has two wins.
 
Nothing there strikes me as "domination". Thanks, HS. We can always count on your for statistics to keep us straight.:D
 
maybe this is the year one of them make it three.. or maybe someone out of the blue will come out an win it. thats why i love racing.
 
Nice to that one driver isn't dominating at the Superspeedway...brings up the variety level.
 
for many years one of the races never had a repeat winner. I believe it was Darrell that broke that streak in the early 80's.

I wouldn't be suprised if one of those drivers won there for a 3rd time there this weekend.
 
Nope, gonna add another driver to win two--Michael Waltrip. LOL
 
Michael must be a good driver if he is gonna win 2 cup events at Talladega this weekend:)
 
This weekend will be the DEI show! It will be about like watching F1!

Mikey and Jr will run away with it!

All they have to do is stop by the McDonalds Happy Meal Truck (The big red truck) at the track on Friday morning so they can pick up their supersized Happy Meal !!!!!!!!!
 
Jeff Gordon might be going for win number 3 at Dega. He had a strong car at Pepsi 400 and if not for bad luck (a cut down tire if I'm correct) he probably would have had a top 5 car there.
 
Gordo aint got no friends at Dega. You need friends to win at that track!
 
Gordon does have a few friends at Dega. His teammates. With how Jimmie Johnson races at that track he would help Gordon get the win.
 
Jimmie will get hung out to dry by someone ......no doubt!

Doesnt matter anyway because Im sure Nascar is going to Supersize the DEI cars once again !!!!!!!!

What do you think NASCAR is the WWE. Last time I checked NASCAR doesn't give any team extra help.
 
Jr. had a great car all night during that race. Does that mean that NASCAR let his team cheat or does it mean that his team worked harder than any other team out there so they can get that win at Daytona for Dale Earnhardt.

I feal that the whole Bud team did not cheat because NASCAR does not let anyone get away with it. That team pulled many extremely long days to get that car perfect for that race and get that win.

The great Tennis player Johnny Mac wrote a book called "You Can't be serious" Maybe you ought to read it!

On restrictor plate tracks cars do not pass other cars without drafting help! Jr did this all night long! Pretty obvious that something EXTRA was under the hood!

Nascar has been known to give help to certain drivers and teams over the years. Why would they change now? Especially in a race that was that emotional?
 
Or if nothing else maybe JR had a little Traction control !


Good article on Traction control in Stock Car racing magazine this month. Nascar Winston Cup drivers admit to having used this device in the article. Most teams are afraid to run it this season because of the heavy penalties that may come down the pipe ! Recommended reading for any nascar fan! Traction control is very easy to conceal and it can be turned on and off from the stands. Interesting stuff to say the least!
 
And again I ask you this. Do you think NASCAR is the WWE to were they fix races?

If you think NASCAR is so fixed why don't you watch stop watching Auto Racing and start watching pro wrestling.

Some one can have a dominate car that can pass anywere they want and Jr. had the kind of car last year.

If anyone else tried that they would be back in 25th in about a lap ! Its called getting hung out to dry!
 
Jr won that race, he had the best car all night and he wanted it bad. What do you have against Jr anyways?
