They'd said before Christmas that they were ready to go if the Christmas numbers didn't convince them to stay. Evidently, Santa didn't bring them what they wanted.

Didn't all of the Zellers just close a year or 2 ago as well? Thats not good seeing all of those big stores closing

target actually bought a lot of the old zellers stores. be sad to see them go from my hometown. My GF and I were saying to each other this christmas that the target store was not very busy

I'm a big fan of the Target, but the one here in my city is below par. The shelves always look quite empty, which is disappointing because I remember constantly going to one years ago because I knew they'd always have what I needed in stock.

Target bought Zellers changed the signs and then ran them into the ground.

Thats too bad. I liked Zellers. Seemed like for Canada, I could get some pretty decent deals in there. Never went inside Target in Canada.
