I just saw that Team USA advanced to the semifinals in the World Cup. ESPN said the game was officially a draw because they were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation but the USA advanced 5-3 on penalty kicks. That kinda seems like deciding the NBA championship with a free throw contest after playing actual back and forth basketball for hours. Not that I mind, I can't imagine much that could be much less exciting than watching soccer. Penalty kicks are much more exciting to me than watching them chase each other around a huge field and flopping to try to get a penalty called. My wife pretty much hates all sports, but she likes soccer and real wrestling. That should tell you something right there. Actually, I think it tells me she dated a soccer player and a wrestler in high school, possibly even the same person. But, again, I digress.

While I really don't like to watch soccer, I do root very hard for Team USA. I admire the dedication, athleticism, hard work and talent it takes to compete at a world class level. Hope Solo is a pretty impressive goalie too. She doesn't seem like a very good teammate after basically throwing a former teammate and coach under the bus when she was not chosen to start and her replacement lost a big game a few years ago. That's ok though, hot girls can get away with a little more. Maybe she just needs a little more discipline. :growl: I know it's terrible, but it's a guy thing. She's not like, super hot, but she's very hot for an athlete.
