Teresa refuses Jr and mom a ride!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. may be one of NASCAR's
crown jewels, but the stock-car racing star had to bum a ride from North
Carolina here for the weekend's race because Teresa Earnhardt, CEO at
Dale Earnhardt Inc. - and also Dale's stepmother - refused to let him
fly on the company plane. Odd? Petty? But it's not the first time the
two have had odd run-ins. Earnhardt might be the star whose talents and
name keep DEI in business, but Teresa runs the company and to outsiders
has often appeared to treat him as little more than just another hired
hand. This time when Teresa vetoed Earnhardt's flight up here
(apparently because he wanted his mother, Brenda Jackson to ride along
and help change his bandages), Richard Childress again quietly stepped
in to help Earnhardt out, letting the son of the legend use his personal
jet to get to the track and back home.

Now thats funny stuff!! LOL
Get your own ride; if your mom is riding; MOOCHER!!!

Something like that I don't believe unless I see it from a newsworthy source. I was just wondering if you had any proof.

The first place I read it, it was an article
by none other than our fine media writer,
"Mike Mulhern".
It's up to the reader how much credence
you put into his "stuff". LOL
Draw your own conclusions.

JMHO, but this once, I do think it's true.

Sorry, but I'm not a bit surprised by the whole thing.

People will feed on anything! What in the heck does that have to do anything, anyway? True or total BS.......it's petty. Ridiculous, childish pettiness.

While the messenger may have some skeletons in the closet sometimes he is able to bring a story to light. While this does not sound good for Teresa one must remember that all has not been a bed of roses between her and Lil'E's mom. It is a believable story and probably did happen as Mulhern reported. If Brenda had not been along then there would not have been a story.

Which part is petty??? The part about Teresa brushing aside Junior and Mrs. Jackson?? Or the story being made public by Mulhern ?? This is what happens when people are placed on a pedestal and are in the spotlight. The good stories go with the bad.

Mulhern is most likely correct on this one. It shows there is discord and personal animosity amongst the key players in one of the most successful families and corporations of NASCAR.

There will be major trouble for Mulhern and The Winston Salem Journal if this story is false. There are grounds for slander and the potential of a lawsuit from Teresa Earnhardt, if the Mulhern story is incorrect.

So while everyone is speculating, when Junior gets totally fed up at DEI and Teresa's management, Dale, Jr., will head straight for Welcome, NC and the RCR empire.

Funny how when something is posted here that Mulhern has written, its always bullcrap, rumors, ect, ect. But when its something about Jr, DEI, or anything else to do with Earnhardt, its gospel.

This is an example of something that is none of our business. How many people that post on here have had issues with some of there family members? Would you not think that there would be some differences from a man's 1st wife to a man's second wife? The 2 ladies may be cordual, but I would not expect them to be friends.

This is another point that proves we may think we know these celebrities, but we really don't have the first clue about their personal lives.

You know what I say about your first few sentences? THEY TOOK THE JOB OF BEING A CELEBRITY; they knew the reprocussions of being a celebrity. They have no personal life in the celebrity world, and thats that!

Aren't these Dale Sr.'s second and third wives?
Wasn't Kerry's mother number one?

A thirty year old man needs his Mom along to help change his bandages?

OK

(I guess)

A thirty year old man needs his Mom along to help change his bandages?

You are correct about the lineage. And, there is a Nicole by Teresa who would be his half-sister.
As to needing help, most guys of his age would have someone of the fairer sex that they were close to for this kind of duty. Also, I hope no one even thought Teresa would change his bandages. I am left wondering, Lil'E had to know the difficulty it would cause between the two. Hire a freaking nurse. He's got the money and they have male nurses... ^_^

Well, this is probably of the same relability as the original sourcing (not much), but a poster on another board posted this:

"OK...listening to the DEI spokesman (Steve Crisp) on the radio right now discussing the Jr/plane thing. He says the deal is this: Jr's doctor told them Thursday that if Jr was going to fly, he needed to be able to fly in the reclined or prone position so that he wouldn't cramp up the wounds. They didn't have a plane that could accomodate that. The plane they had planned to use is essentially a MD-80/DC-9...rows of 2 and 2 that are configured just like a commercial plane. So, Jr couldn't stretch out. So, DEI called around to see if there was aonther team leaving at about the same time that could accomodate Jr's needs, and RCR said they did. So that is why he ended up on the RCR plane."
