Terrell Owens

I think he's a good receiver but he needs to get knocked back into reality...he's entirly too ****y.

Then again, so are most pro athletes..

I think celebrating like that is fine...BUT...celebrating like that when you're team is losing is a different story. No need for it.

I think Terrell is a product of his generation. Athletes have been allowed to push the limits and each year, they go further and further. I can remember when Elmo Wright first did his Indian dance in the endzone with the Chiefs and people hated it. It's just gone on from there. While it doesn't bother me, it's fodder for the young kids that watch it and sooner or later, they try to emulate their idols. Things get out of hand a lot sooner now days. Just yesterday at a local high school basketball game, the police had to be called in to more or less stop a riot, just because one of the players threw a ball at a fan. Yeah, I'm sure the player will be disciplined, but that won't stop this attitude. Taunting is just a form of bragging, and when a person brags to the wrong person, things can get out of hand. Professional sports only makes things worse. Good players can get away with murder...almost.

Yeah, sounds like Ray Lewis did.......Can't wait to see how Jayson Williams gets out his charge.

But buckaroo, aren't sports for our entertainment?

And the upbringing and instillment of values and morals into children the responsibility of the parent?

Paul, what decade are you living in?

;)

Then again, maybe that's not a joke....

I just get tired of hearing people blaming video games for their kid killing their teacher, or suing McDonalds for being fat, or blaming the WWF for their kid killing thier little brother etc etc.

I guess you're right Fergy. :( I'm probably wrong in expecting people to accept responsibility for their own actions...thought people sure do preach that enough around here...yet fail in practice.

That's why I said that Terrell is a product of his generation, the generation that my generation reared. I'm not at all proud of the direction that my generation took us. Some ways, it is great, but in many other ways, it stinks.

He is very talented. But if he was as good as he thinks he is, San Francisco would never lose another game. DB's would just geneflect at his presence. :satisfied. I don't have a problem with celebrating to an extent, it only bugs me when a player acts like he just did the greatest thing ever done because he tackled a running back after he just ran for 8 yards on first down. Or when your team is losing badly and you strut around after a meaningless score.

He had just scored a TD to bring the Niners within striking distance, Almost had the Packers in the end there. Terrell is a great reciever but he should have learned more from Jerry about how to act on the field.

I like him he wins me a lot of money...if he gets banned from the nfl he make one hell of a guy cheerleader
