thanks Splunge.............I was to lazy to do it....even DE said resize it.....but I just left it all squished up....but THANK YOU..that was really nice of you....

Kat, go to "My Controls" once there, click on "avatar settings", after you do that, there will be a few blanks where you can load a new av, or even RESIZE the one you have...there are two blank boxes with an "X" between them, just insert the numbers that Splunge gave you and then hit the load this avatar button or something to that effect. Check you my new av, I had to fiddle with the resizing too.

Yea...stretched pictures on the internet/avatars are one of my pet peeves....

The biggest problem is web browsers can change the display size of a picture, but not the actual file size.

Example.

A picture of your favorite driver you took at the race with your new digital camera will be about 1800x1600 pixels wide, with a file size of about 1 meg. (1000 kb)

You can upload that as your av, plug in 150x150 as the size...but it will always load the entire picture...so dial up folk get to wait for the whole meg.

Whereas a resized av at 150x150 will only be about 35 kb. And it will 'look' the same.

If anybody wants me to resize their av, I'll be more than glad to help, obvisouly.
