Cup Cars To Test at Las Vegas
The NASCAR Nextel Cup cars will take a few days off and then head for Las Vegas Motor Speedway for three days of on-track testing starting a week from Monday. The public is invited to watch the test sessions free of charge each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets for the March 10-12 NASCAR Weekend are available by calling 1-800-644-4444 or logging on to (www.lvms.com).

Here is a tentative list of test dates and drivers:


Jan. 30-31: Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Robby Gordon, Jeff Green, Kevin Harvick, Dale Jarrett, Travis Kvapil, Mark Martin, Jamie McMurray, Elliott Sadler, Hermie Sadler, Ken Schrader, Brent Sherman, Reed Sorenson, David Stremme, Martin Truex Jr. and Scott Wimmer.

Jan. 31-Feb. 1: Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Sterling Marlin, Jeremy Mayfield, Casey Mears, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Newman, Kyle Petty, Scott Riggs and Brian Vickers.

Dale Jr. is going to be a busy boy. He's scheduled to do a tire test here in Texas next week. Sure wish those weren't closed sessions.

Ticks me right off they can't test in CA this year, but they are in LV.

Only because I want to go watch, other than that I don't care. Last year about 10,000 people showed up on Wed. & Thur., the track wasn't expecting that many. LOL

Yeh, surprised the heck outta the track officials!!!! They were NOT prepared in any way, shape or form for the amount of people that showed up to watch!!!!

Well I'm hoping RG may come out here over the weekend before LV testing. Maybe I can catch him at his shop.

I wonder if they will do a test at Talladega and see how the new surface will hold up...?
