I toldcha that my memory wasn't all that good anymore.
Was talking to Whizzer this afternoon and he informed me that Tex was the starter at both Orange County Fair in Middleton, NY and at the old dirt track at Nazareth, Pa.
I coulda sworn it was Flemington Fair.
Small matter really; Tex put on a show that was well worth the price of admission. Tex was a full blooded native American and Whizzer tells me that he is no longer with us.
