Is the IRL still aligning it self with Nascar ? There was a statement about 3-4 months ago that the IRL might run in conjunction with either the Busch or CTS races, can't remember which one it was. I thought this was a good move because it would generate more interest in the series, but i haven't heard anything more about it nor have i heard any more about the IRL and Champ car merging.

To the best of my knowledge, the June Truck race has always been a companion race to the IRL race at TMS, and when the IRL raced at TMS in October it was a stand alone race.
