I hate to say it (not really) but I gotta go with my boy Joey this weekend. He's a top performer at this track type this season and got absolutely nothing to lose. Finished 5th from starting in the rear here in the spring.

I also think Kenseth leaves with the point lead by at least 5.. and Kasey Kahne will finally get a good finish.

I'm going to have to say that after a less than stellar performance in M-Ville, Johnson is going to go into Texas wanting to prove to himself and others that he is Champion material. That can go one or two way, either he outperforms everyone else and clinches a win, or he overdrives the car, wrecks out, blow the engine or tire and finish in the back of the pack.

We're talking about JJ here, not Brad Kesolowski.
If 5 straight championships doesn't convince him or others that he's championship material, nothing will. lol

The chase race at Texas last year was probably the most exciting finish of all year for me. jimmie had the car hooked up and was driving it perfectly; it was brad last year who overdrove and nearly wrecked the both of them in the closing laps. should be a good race!

Got to go with Kyle on this one. Time is running out for him

I'm going with Gordon this week. (Not a fan of his). They have momentum after the win at M'ville and he can smell that trophy from where he is now. Like blood to a shark.

Let me be the first to predict that the letters on the AndyTheaterSign will say "THIS TRACK DOES NOT DESERVE TO HOST A RACE", while he weepingly reminisces about last week's rasslin' match.

something something dirt track half mile...

Since I called Martinsville spot on, naturally I feel like I will predict Texas spot on. Probably wont but. . . . . .

Biffle takes the checkered flag.

It's a 1.5 miler, so....Kenseth for the win.

JGR has owned the cookie-cutter tracks this year.

gunna be a 3 way battle between the 18,20 and the 24 with the 48 getting a solid top 5.....as for who wins....going with Kyle and the 18 team for the Texas sweep

Already posted this somewhere else, but will post it here as well.

Kyle Busch will have his annual meltdown at Texas and rear end Kenseth aggressively under caution!

Kenseth..

They are thinking about changing his name to Matt 1.5miler.

I swear..

Do we need a whole 'nother thread about what you think is going to happen in the race when there is already a weekly thread to talk about what you believe is going to happen in the race?

As I said in my similar thread last week I plan on making a predictions thread every week so get over it. Or don't click on it. See that's the funny thing about this stuff... if you don't like it.. you don't have to click on it.. o_O This thread is to make predictions of what u think will happen... the pre race thread is for anything from practice and qualifying to new paint schemes and everything in between having to do with the race weekend... this is just "What do you think will happen in the race?"

Look at the bright side. It's not a 'Joey is great' thread.:)
Check the first line of the first post ;):p:D

I found that comment odd myself.

JJ is the real deal.

Anyway my prediction would be something like this...

A Roush car is going to take the win. Preferably Edwards.

More power to you bro but a pre-race thread's purpose is to discuss the race before the race.

Depth perception. From this angle Newmans hand looks bigger than his own head...NOTHING is bigger than Newmans head lol :D
Depth perception be damned, pull up some more pictures slice, his fist is as big or bigger than Logano's head, what do you think would happen if he unleashed that thing on Logano?

Hornish isn't in the race. That bodes well for the 48.

Predictions? Hard to say. Several teams just tested there and who knows if one of them hit on something. Jeff seemed very happy with their testing results but no one else has really been asked. That being said, it's really hard to pick against the 48 or 20. There is a reason they've been the top teams all year.

Probably something like this... except Newman is not as tall as Anderson lol

My prediction: I will not be in the state of texas for this race. If anything embarrassing to the state occurs during the nationwide or cup races, I will take a hit and claim to be an okie for a short period of time.
