I have season tickets to TMS so heading up there for the weekend with some friends. Never been to a truck or Indy race there, anybody else been? They are both night races which will be fun, trucks should be exciting but can't imagine the Indy race being that exciting on an oval.

I always like it on tv, but have never been there in person. The Indy cars are fast there. By the way, thanks for making this thread, because i had forgotten about the truck race and would have probably missed it.

I'd say you will like the Indy Car race more than you will the truck race. Usually the tracks that NASCAR suck on the Indy Cars are fun to watch on.

The IndyCar racing at Texas is probably the best of the season. Last year they got stretched out but they made a few adjustments to make sure the cars able to keep grip during a run this year.

Historically, Texas was the craziest track on the IndyCar schedule and it was pretty much full throttle pack racing. With Wheldon's death at Vegas, that changed dramatically. The 2012 race at TMS was probably the best race of the season in any series. The cars are an absolute handful to drive and can still pull laps of 215 with the new aero packages.

TMS is an awesome venue, I wish I could make it down this weekend.

I haven't been to an IndyCar race since I was a kid, so I don't know the difference in fan experience between the two series.

I can tell y'all that cars look better at night under the lights than regular daylight, though. :) Also, you don't have to worry about getting a sunburn at night.

My dad was considering taking me to this race, but he didn't realize it would be tonight instead of tomorrow, so he's working.

anyone know if the NASCAR NBC crew is going to be the crew in texas tonight?

It will be neat to have Kelli Stavast interview Patrick.

Until drivers start getting killed.

I'm a little slow tonight...i thought maybe she was flying over to watch the race and then flying back to Pocono.:)

That would be cool but doubt it...The poconos is a romantic place...I'll just leave it at that.
